It's a known bug between antimattered creatures and poison:

Quote
Attack Animation - Antimatter + Poison

This is a symptom of the Attack Animation bug, where game effects continue to occur because not all attacks are simultaneous or immediate. Because poison damage is applied before creature damage is applied, poison damage should kill a player before an antimattered creature heals the player. Because of the end of turn lag, however, Antimatter can keep a player alive through healing, no matter how much poison is applied, because health cannot drop below 0HP and the game only checks for this effect at some point after the attack animation is completed.

true. well other than CC i guess the deck's fine  :D
just a thought.. would the deck be more efficient if players -2Nymph -2Gargoyles and +4LS?  ::)
No, this change wouldn't make the deck better. You would create to much Quantum while you have less damage and cc. When you want to play a deck with Gargoyles and LS, you should play a regular Gargoyles-LS-deck.

The CC of the ai3 isn't such a big problem as you think. The ai primarily attacks the Gargoyles, so that your nymphs are mostly save.
Permanent CC like Owl's Eyes isn't dangerous as you can steal it. Spells are a bigger problem, but you can lure it with Devourer or you sacrifice one or two Gargoyles.
The last thing is CC from creatures, which can be troublesome when you can't stop it with your nymph or Drain Lifes. Especially when you play against the  :water :aether -deck (Immortal squids or flayer).  >:(

Here's some new art for you Schattenfresser, as promised. (Note: you might need to resize the image before it can be used in the card) ^^;;

If there needs to be changes to my art submission, feel free to correct them as necessary. I know that Bloodshadow, Fotosynthesis, vrt, and Zanz can make much better art that I can, but it was worth a shot! XD
Thanks, that's a really nice picture. The only thing that you could add would be a background.   :D
Thanks again and +Karma.^^

Cool card it would be interesting with fractal.  I think a better name (for the upped version) would be Dust Monster and make it look closer to a golem (I know it sounds stupid but I think it looks better that way)
I think the cost/damage ratio isn't good and the damage too small to make a Fractal stall. And as Kael said: Fractal can miss, too.
About the name change: I like Dust Entity more.  ;)

The difference is that with cards like Permafrost Shield, the average number of creatures frozen averages out in the long run, under the assumption that your opponent has more than a couple creatures. This card has less of a chance for the outcomes to average out to 50% live Dust and 50% dead Dust.
Yes and No. Yes, it would be less targeted by spells. No, because creatures with abilities and weapons like EE can target the Dust, too. So I can have 23 creatures + Weapon that target the Dust with their ability and that have to attack through a Dusk Mantle.

I changed the Fading Cultist: Thread (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,6909.0.html).
And I added a poll about the card ability, too. So please vote. (Both polls) :)

Ok, I made some bigger changes:
* changed the name of the Priest to Fading Elder
* decreased the costs of both versions by 2
* decreased the ability costs of the cultist by 1
* increased the attack of the cultist by 1
* the priest gained +1|+1
* removed the part of the ability where it changes the element of the creature to Darkness

Any opinions or suggestions to the changes or the card?

Issue Archive / Re: Airborne Burrowed Graboid When Mutated...

Could it be that the FG(Chaos Lord) mutated a RoL? Because saw that mutants from airborne creatures are airborne, too. It works like Momentum, which you can't remove with Improve/Mutation, too.

I don't use Nightfall as it buffs your Devourer, too. And that would make them affected by shields and I had that I had less em with Nightfall. I won several games with 98 or 99HP in the trainer when I tested it with Nightfall.

why not just say while on field leaf dragons are time stuck?/frozen/die/ cn only use ability once per turn
That would be to complicated.

dont raise the base cost, but raise by 1 for each use in a given turn is good. unless rustler isnt a problem.
changing rustlers when this is in play wouldnt make sense
The problem is that I can't completly remove the mechanic, I can only make it more difficult to use it. That's why I trend to change both.
I wait a little bit for some additional opinions before I change the card.

Card Ideas and Art / Re: Agitating Cultist | Agitating Priest
« on: July 05, 2010, 06:12:37 pm »
The idea is fine. I haven't really got any problems or suggestions to it which was why I didn't comment.
The only thing I would add now though was I would change it for RoF. Perhaps absorb up to 4 or 5 times.
What do you mean with absorb up to 4 or 5 times? That the 'Scapegoat' will be targeted with more spell projectile as it would have life?
Or does it absorb every RoF damage until it dies and after that RoF targets normal. <- that's how it is right now

Darkness / Gargoyle Nymph (unupped)
« on: July 04, 2010, 09:34:49 pm »
Hi,
I created the deck so that I could use my 2 Black Nymphs. The idea of the deck is similar to the Gargoyle-Liquid Shadow decks.
It's important that you have at least 2 Black Nymphs! The single nymph works better in a normal Gargoyle-LS deck, where you replace a LS with your nymph.

I didn't write down the statistics against lvl3, but the deck has a chance to win ~85% of the games. The chance for em is around 50%.
I'm upgrading the deck right now, so that I may add the upped version of the deck when I'm finished.

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5uo 5up 5up 5ur 5us 5us 5uv 5uv 5uv 5uv 5uv 5uv 5v8 5v8 8pm

The deck:
General: The decks needs a lot of quanta in the early and midgame as you want to play the nymph ability and gargoyles at the same time.
-10 Obsidian Pillars: I started with only 9 Pillars and 2 Dusk Shields, but I found myself in a few quanta shortages. It got less with 10 pillars and I won more games after the change. I plan to go back to 9 when I upped every pillar.
-6 Devourers: It slows down the start from your opponent, which helps as the deck isn't the fastest. The burrow is nice, but less important then the Gargoyle ability.
-1 Dusk Mantle: Nice shield. It helps to gain em at the end, but the 1 pillar was more important then the second shield.
-2 Steals: You should use the spell only to remove annoying shields ( :fire :gravity :water :time, Carapace) or weapons (Lobo, OE)
-1 Vampire Stiletto: It's really nice to have some damage/healing besides creatures.
-2 Drain Life: It helps to remove early problems (squid) and it's a better way to kill high attack creatures.
-6 Gargoyles: The ability makes this creature to one of the best targets for Liquid Shadow
2 Black Nymphs: Nymphs have the advantage that you can use the ability more then 6 times so that you can use it for creature control. But they are vulnerable to creature control and the abilities need a lot of quanta.

Thanks for reading
