The original idea of this thread, yeah... I don't see myself using it too often, but it's always nice to see that its there for if I do want to :P

The cookie idea: FECKUMS YES!!
This scenario happens often: I'm on Xfire with some mates, my volumes set to max on my headset because it's always a tad hard to hear them (whether its my headset of their mikes I have no idea), I feel like loading up elements, the next thing I hear deafens me for a few seconds because I continually forget that mute is not permanent -.-

Do more math?
So what, you expect people to kill off their own cards because they get penalized for pwning the opponent?

The current EM and Slot systems for electrum work fine, anything extra like this is too circumstantial to bother implementing.

Game Suggestions and Feedback / Re: Pillars to Towers

Pillars and Towers are a staple of most decks... We can all agree there.

I also beleive Pillars should have the cost decreased for upgrading.
1/3rd of the cost (500E) does seem a little TOO low, but 1000 sounds much better.

If your making an upgraded rainbow, you probably have cash to burn, rainbows will probably always be the god-killing high-level decks, and mono/duo decks will typically be for the lower players who can't afford to build upraded rainbow decks (this is disregarding PVP of course) so why not decrease the cost of upgrading one so the players can get to the "meat" of the game that little bit easier?

Smooth icy

Anyway yeah, I've had a few games where I THOUGHT my opponent was going to die and didn't... red health transition would be great.

Also maybe it's a feature but the health bar doesn't include damage thats going to be dealt by adrenalined monsters, also rather annoying...

Nerf This Card! / Re: [POLL] Most Overpowered?
« on: April 01, 2010, 05:34:19 am »
Black hole isn't really OVERPOWERED perse... but unbalanced definately
Useless against a mono deck, crippling to a rainbow, now maybe it could even be left alone, with its obvious advantage and weakness, but maybe theres a way to balance it a little more (take a minimum of X quanta even if theres only 1 type, and a maximum of Y quanta even if they have all types?)

Quicksand probably needs to be changed so it can't be used to deny ALL quanta at such an early point... the 1 3rd of pillars/pumpspell ideas by Kael Hate look perfect

That said, I don't see any REAL need to change any of the cards, some are rather powerful, but that's really a perk of picking the right element now isn't it? ;)

Game Suggestions and Feedback / Re: Purchasable Marks (Metamorphosis)

I say 2500 for a single mark, and you would only be able to buy 4 marks.
Price seems ok I suppose, we have to weigh up some kind of fair price, which seems to be between 1000 and 2500 (I say 1000s too low and 2500s too high, but thats just my opinion)

I don't see much of a point limiting a player to 4 marks... example of why that would be useful please?

My original suggestion was to allow players to pay 1500e (the same as upgrading a card) to get rid of the 100e metamorphosis fee. You wouldn't have to buy each element separately, which might make it easier to implement.
Hmm, I think getting ALL the marks for 1500 would be a bit cheap...

Maybe pay 1500 for a single mark, but pay only 12000 to buy all at once? (so you end up saving 500 per mark if you "buy in bulk")
I don't really see too many people needing EVERY mark, but I suppose it adds a sense of completion if you have them all

I say 1500 for a mark instead of 1000 because it's rather akin to upgrading a card, so it should probably be the same price

And how it "Wont pay off until you change your mark a lot of times" thats really the point, an option so people who change marks a lot can save money, thus you wont be forced to grind to change marks cos your out of cash (like me xD)

Great to see some support guys ^^ thanks

Game Suggestions and Feedback / Re: Permanent Marks
« on: March 31, 2010, 06:38:14 am »
I apologise if the idea is old ^^; I only really read the first page of the forum :P

Maybe 100 electrum isn't a lot for most people, but I would certainly feel a lot freer if I could pay a larger upfront cost and not have to worry about it later.
Thats what I'm saying, the 100 electrum is fine for newbies who just dont like their element, a one time switch, and I suppose 100 electrum is chicken feed for FG grinders, but what about us "middle" players? the ones who want to run more then one deck and mostly just do duels? should we be forced to grind elders between every few matches if we feel like switching decks?

The points are:
It would be incredibly handy to those who would use it
It would be rather easy to implement
It wouldn't make a huge impact on the game (It would however, make it much more fun for the players who would use it)

And looking at the title it's a little misleading... should I change it?

Ok first off, trading with other players is right out.

Second, what if it worked only for farmers?
You trade in 3 (maybe just 2) rare cards, and get 1 RANDOM rare back?
That seems like one of the best ways to go about it to me... maybe also a 1k fee or something but I dont think money needs to be brought into this

Perhaps it could be: trade in 2 rares to get a COMPLETELY random rare back
Trade in 3 rares to get a rare from a chosen category back (Categories would be like "Weapons" and "Other" or something I suppose, I don't think you'd want a guaranteed trade "3 rares for a nymph" though...)

Game Suggestions and Feedback / Purchasable Marks (Metamorphosis)
« on: March 30, 2010, 11:35:41 am »
Ok, I'm not trying to kill Metamorphosis here but...
IF you run 2 active decks that use different marks then having to use metamorphosis for every change really drains your electrum (esspecially when you mostly play around with duels) so what if you could permanently "Buy" marks, as well as metamorphosize?

Your purchased marks would probably just be free to change to on the metamorphosis page, and ideally they'd show up in the Your Deck tab as well (so you could import your deck, and while on the same page change your mark to any of your purchased ones)

It won't really "widen the gap between pros and newbies" either, since newbies won't have to worry about running 2 decks until they have enough to buy the marks.
I reckon 1000 or 1500 electrum to buy a mark sounds good? maybe a little less? it will be expensive at first, but to the people who find themselves changing all the time it really saves a lot of money.

Anyway, discuss, improve, implement :P (and thanks for reading ^^)
