Bloodshadow, do you go to GameFAQs? It's just that that meme has an OVER 9OOO popularity rating there >_>.

And SG, why can't a non-comedic forum be funny? I mean, if you take out the funnies, it's just boring debates that evolve into flame wars. Making other people laugh lightens the mood, and therefore there are less flame wars.

Why can't we all just get along?  ::)
That meme is popular EVERYWHERE.  Though it's a bit outdated, I really don't see people saying it anymore.

Rainbow Decks / the 30 card godkiller
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:29 pm »

I toyed with this today.  This may be the new time based un-upgraded false god deck to send your newbie friends who want to know the best way to tackle false gods.

I'd say, build this then move into Entropy rainbow like everyone else, tbh.  This deck had a HIGHER win percentage for me when testing than the large time based rainbow did (when unupgraded).

Religion / Ray Comfort, On The Origin Of Species

"There is no such thing as an intelligent, or even rational, Christian."
This is just plain stupid. Christians, time and time again, have been targeted as being intellectually inferior to other humans, just because of their faith. Buddhists, Jews, Scientologists, Mormons, etc., have no such persecution. I even know of that study that was done about intelligence and Christians. While some may say that it "proves" that Christians are less intelligent than other people, that's really not what the study found at all. All the study proves is the trend for more intelligent to question their faith and the origin of their existence. As one of those people, I still say that I am a Christian, despite your little quote above.
Scientology isn't a real religion.

Christians are the primary (getting to the point where it's almost fitting to say "only") religion that still denies facts for claims that have no merit.

I think it's actually funny that you use the phrase "True Christians".

In my opinion (and anyone who uses English as a primary language), For you to be true to something, you are being directly related to what that thing is.  To be a true Christian, you follow the bible.

How can you pick and choose which parts of the bible are fallacy (all of them are, really, but that's beside the point) and what is acceptable?

The bible says it's wrong and a sin to masturbate.  Have you ever masturbated?
The bible says it's an abomination to sit where a menstruating woman has sat.  Have you ever done that?
The bible says to stone disobedient children.  Did you ever disrespect your parents?
The bible says that we must sacrifice the head of any animal we eat, and burn the blood so the smoke may rise to the Lord, do you do that ritual before you eat a hamburger?

You're a sinner, just like all of us, if that book is true.  True Christians are the most hateful thing on this planet.  I think you meant to say fake Christians are the loving ones.

And your game was saving the whole time with no 'unconnected' messege you made sure to connect?
To clarify, I do believe the message says "Disconnected" if that'll help OP out at any.

General Discussion / Soo uhh. Just played Elements on my PS3.
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:28 pm »

It actually works just fine on a PS3. =)  I'd say it's actually better than the PC, I found not as many of the random lag issues that sometimes happen on the PC after hours of play.
So, your friend never come
He did, note the difference in when the posts were made time-wise.

"There is no such thing as an intelligent, or even rational, Christian."

"The world holds two classes of men – intelligent men without religion, and religious men without intelligence."

Two of my favorite quotes, thought they'd fit in well with this topic.

The second quote is by Al-Ma‘arri, some of his stuff is some of my favorite.

Game Suggestions and Feedback / Elemental bonuses

what about having skills that are activatable (for each element) but are kinda strong....maybe add them as a quest after the 150 score quest. have them cost a lot of mana and have them be really strong ......like..

water: 20 quanta? (something high) flood: all opposing creatures attack is reduced to zero and they gain    +1/0 per turn until normal (negates fire skill)
fire: ignite: all of your fire creatures gain +2/0 for 2 turns (negates life skill)

and like that but make the skills ones that are more useful if you have creatures on the field not something like "do 10 damage to your opponent........

then have it that AI's don't get them or do. either way this will (IMO) give the game a little more depth.
Don't forget that some players have the abilities and some don't. The abilities shouldn't widen the gaps between new players and pros too much.
Don't upgrades already do that? o-o

I like some of those!

Especially the "tide", life surviving one extra turn and Aether neutralizing other ability!

2 specials per element might be a bit much though- I'm hoping to see at least one :)
If we leave it to one, have it be something that isn't overly specialized.  Many elements can be played more than one way.  Although, I do completely agree with leaving the abilities attached to the element, and not able to pick them at free-will.
