[06:15:57] Essence: Hey, wow, I've actually never upgraded any floodings. I thought I had 6 of every :water card upped, and it looks like I somehow completely missed that one!

[06:19:43] Essence: OK, my Discord/Inundation biting farm is up and running.
[06:19:45] Essence: XD

[06:20:18] Essence: Entropy mark, 18 water towers,, 6 discords, and 6 indundation. :)

What kind of Water master are you? :P

I don't really see the use of scramble here, seeing as scramble is activated on-hit, and this has 0 attack (and is attacking the caster) I assume you want it to scramble the owner's quanta pool?
Yea. And to be honest, i just threw scramble on here cuz i have no idea what to make for :aether, and it seemed like a quality ability :P
I'd suggest putting "scrambles owner's quanta pool at the end of the turn" (or a shorter version that says the same) instead of just "scramble", then (assuming I interpreted that correctly)

Would scramble hit you or the opponent? How would it trigger with 0 attack?
Going off venom (scorpion and arsenic), neurotoxin (dune scorpion), deadly venom (deathstalker), and scramble (discord), I'd say it won't proc with 0 attack.

Interesting series.
My ideas:
:air : One of the owner's creatures loses airborne per turn, randomly (synergizes with wings)
:earth : Burrows up to three of the owner's creatures as long as it's in play, attack of 3(4)+ (halves damage from random creatures, deals 1 damage with shield out)
:fire : Inflicts 1 point of damage to surrounding creatures, attack of 2+ (can weaken tough creatures, should have higher HP due to fire shield)
:time : Generates a card in the owner's hand after attacking, maybe attack of 3+ (can "nightmare" the opponent, card can be either copy of itself, relic, or a random card matching their mark)

To Memorystick:
Question 1: If you had the ability to "make any person" play elements...

Who would it be and why? (such as a famous person/ a colleague / historical person)

Answer: My best friend, assuming she'd like Elements. I haven't been in much contact with her lately, unfortunately, and Elements (via chat/forum), could provide a medium for us to keep in contact ^^'
Question 2: Consider this scenario. You become the next master of :time.

I want you to imagine your "team", do not write them down just imagine them.
In this scenario, your elite team (your idea team) is with you in the war.

However one of the team mates is stepping their bounds, they are taking a large majority of your "leadership roles". Despite your view on shared participation or leadership; it is obvious by many of the other members, and yourself, that this player is acting as if they were master of :time.

Take the side of "taking action to correct this conflict". Type out a response in chat/forum that would occur between you two.

Answer: This is a difficult one, which would depend on a large number of variables. Are they trying to be helpful, but inadvertently going a bit too far? Might I be not doing as good a job as I should be, and they're picking up the slack? Or perhaps they think they could do a better job at whatever it is than I could?
Assuming the first scenario:
[**:**:**] Memorystick [»] ***: Hey there. D'you have time to talk?
[**:**:**]  *** [»]Memorystick: yup, why?
[**:**:**] Memorystick [»] ***: You've been doing a lot, and I thank you for your initiative, but I feel you're going a bit too far.
[**:**:**] Memorystick [»] ***: I'm sure you don't mean to, but there have been some things I feel I should have done that you did instead.
[**:**:**]  *** [»]Memorystick: oh, really? im sorry
[**:**:**]  *** [»]Memorystick: such as?
[**:**:**] Memorystick [»] ***: (short list of examples here)
[**:**:**] Memorystick [»] ***: Even if you are a little over-enthusiastic, you are a great asset to the team, and I'd rather this get resolved quickly and with little fuss.
[/color]
Question 3: In this scenario you are again the next master of :time.

Your team is at a crucial point of the war; one that could potentially decide the outcome of the entire war. Your team and yourself work exceptionally hard planning/strategic actions/ and analyzing tactics for the next round.

But when it comes down to the actual "action"(deck/game play tactic). There is a huge division between you and another team mate. You feel 100% confident that your strategy will work, but your team mate does not. In their view, they confidently see their own strategy as perfect, and yours and absurd.

The next rounds are stating "soon". A decision must be made.

Respond to this scenario.

Answer: It's unlikely I'd be 100% sure about anything, even if I am confident. In the end, RNG (and possibly bugs) can determine the fate of a duel (see MrBlonde vs xdude from War2) I would most likely end up evaluating the pros and cons of both strategies, what the teams we're facing would most likely throw against us (if there's time or it had already been done beforehand), and go with the strategy that would net us the least serious losses (followed by most potential gain)
The hardest question, in my opinion, was the second. There are so many variables to consider, and I'm not that great at constructing dialogue (which is ironic, considering that I'm writing a book ^^')

Alright, I'm gonna be nice, since nobody's updated since page 32.
my fault- got distracted and then had some emotional issueY'all have 24 hours to fix up your posts to match This Post (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,7361.msg266544#msg266544), and then I'll update this post with the matches up to this point that were left out (as well as the league standings)
Please be sure to read it thoroughly, and make sure that you actually post it correctly from now on.
Haven't finished updating yet, but I need to sleep before tackling the rest.
Left out so far:

What time is it Mr./Mrs. Wolf?

(answer as creatively as possible)
It's time... for you to get glasses, as I am clearly not a wolf ;)
Is this a reference?
I'm going to take this in a bit different direction than most and ask you a little about deckbuilding.

What (war legal) decks would you build to defeat these two decks?

The decks should be all unupped and preferably not involve and nymphs as you don't know who will have to face down the decks.

Also, though the decks should be targeted counters, they shouldn't fall apart against other decks.

Code: [Select]

EDIT: Slight change on the wording to clarify.
(decks to come)

Hello!. I got a couple of questions for u guys.

1. Which of these qualities should a Master have and why?(Pls choose one from the list.)

    Honesty,Compassion,Passion, Diligence,Integrity,Patience,Respectful,Attitude or Others.(if any)

2. Which of these qualities should a Master NOT have and why?(Pls choose one from the list.)

   Boastfulness,Proud,Laziness,Disrespectful towards others,Dishonesty,Ill-Tempered, or Others.(if any)

1) Assuming you mean "which is most important", I'm gonna have to say either compassion or patience. Compassion gives  link to other people, which makes communicating much easier. Patience is also pretty much required when facing a language barrier, a person who's never played games like elements, a controversial topic, or a complete moron, which are almost daily occurrences (at least, in chat)

2) Hands down, disrespect. Disrespect kills communication- it tends to make people less likely to listen to what someone's saying, whether or not what they're saying is true; this can be seen in almost any "hot-button" topic.

Hey guys!. I got a deckbuliding question for u guys too.(Have Fun!)

What kind of deck(s) would You use to counter the decks below.

The decks should be all unupped and preferably having no nymphs as you wont know who would have to face the decks.

You would have to use your own element and another element to make the deck. Try and make a deck which ppl would understand how to use it easily.

ok, question from me to earn another vote  ::)

wich deck did you liked the most, team time played in war2?

Hi folks,

I've got a question for you as well.
 - Not answering this question will probably result in me not giving a vote to you.

What do you think about the philosophical aspects of a photon which enters the Schwarzschild radius of a 5 million Solar masses big Quasar which is in the center of our galaxy?
Um... I have no idea what you're talking about... but assuming you mean "... a photon when it crosses the event horizon of a black hole..."
... I'm drawing a blank D:

Simple time related question:
Which is your favorite Doctor?

Furthmore, as Master of Time, or Lord of Time, or Time Lord, or whatever you wish your title to be, what will you do in terms of diplomatic relations with aether?
Doctor? Hrm... I'd have to say my neighbor ;D (she's a dentist)
Diplomatic relations with Aether? I was unaware that  there were any diplomatic issues between aether and time- between Anubis, Scarabtal, and the Eternity/Mindgate synergy, among others, I thought time and aether were quite close.

Question: How long do you spend on Elements on a monthly basis, in minutes?
Which month? 28(9), 30, or 31 days? :P

I thought the match needed to not exceed 100 cards - none in the actual game do, I know.
Assuming you mean deck size, that's not true.

As shown in this thread (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,7919.0.html), Chaos Lord, Elidnis, Ferox, Hermes, Morte, Rainbow, and Scorpio exceed 100 cards, and Destiny, Fire Queen, and Paradox have exactly 100 cards.

I would like to know A) what you meant and B) where you heard that.

Trial of Time / Re: Phase 3 - Community Vote
« on: January 23, 2011, 04:22:36 am »
First, I'd like to say one thing: Don't vote for me. Vote for the person you think is best suited for the position of master of time (be it myself or someone else)

Simple questions, feel free to write as much or as little as you want. I'll read everything before I decide.

What does Time symbolise for you?
Time... I see time as all-encompassing, almost oxymoronic, and stalling. Time, through Anubis, was the first element to have a direct tie to its "opposite", though other opposite-element tactics existed (for example, blessed vampires), Time/Aether was the most obvious.
In real life, time encompasses the past, present, and future- with each affecting the others: past affecting present affecting future is obvious, but the future also affects the present and the past, through people thinking ahead. We can see something like this in the element by looking at Hourglass, Precognition, Rewind, and Procrastination- Hourglass and Precog are like looking into the future (drawing, seeing the opponent's hand), Rewind is like thinking of the past ("didn't I just draw this creature?"), and Procrastination is like the present... or more accurately, wasting the present.
Time is designed to speed up its draws and slow down the opponents' while setting up, which I think is more indicative of a stalling element- however, time itself is guaranteed to take damage (it doesn't have a "true" DR shield like emerald or solar shields, though procrastination does half creature damage), yet doesn't have in-element healing... after all, who hasn't heard the phrase "time heals all wounds"?
Finally, time brings both bad and good- it brings death (old age) and new life (birth), pain (death of loved ones, partings of friends, change for the worse, etc.) and recovery (meeting new friends, change for the better), the new and the old. Of course, these things can be both good and bad (for example, the death of a loved one with Alzheimers, a child who is nothing but a pain in the [censored], or moving to a new house), and I didn't intend to imply that any of them are bad in and of themselves.

What will you do for this element as a Master? What is your vision?
Generally, I don't have much of a plan- this is shown by my phase two decks, which were all made up on the spot (except the SN-bow), I just try to do the best I can. I checked out the trials archives and noticed that Xinef (as he has already mentioned) no longer has time for elements (or at least, not as much as he'd like), so I decided to go for time master- Time will need a new master anyway, and it's my favorite element, so I figured "why not?" and went for it ;D

What types of cards does Time need in game to finish covering the Element Time?
I feel that time needs healing, a mid-hitter, and either soft perm protection or soft perm control (or even both). Kuro does have a point though- time has a lot that's remained untapped, and lacks in the spell department.

You are 15minutes late for a job interview, but you just remember that your supposed to pick your son up after school. What do you do?
--no timetravel, timestopping or alternating time in any way.
I call whomever I'm going to, request to reschedule, and pick up my son- family is more important than a job, in my opinion. If they don't let me reschedule or I don't get the job because of it, oh well. There's always more fish in the sea.

It is one thing to know thyself.  It is another to know thy enemy.
What is Aether?
Aether and Time are much closer than the other opposites, in my opinion. I perceive both as stalling elements, both deal with that which is intangible (thoughts, for example), and both are seen as more supportive elements (Fractal, TU, Electrocutor, Hourglass, Precognition, Eternity), but both have the ability to alter the pace of the battle (Silence, Phase Shield, Rewind, Hourglass) However, there are some key differences: aether is more about immortality (Immortal, Quintessence, Phase Shield) and the intangible part of life (Mindgate, Silence, Electrocutor), while time is more about manipulating the flow of time (Rewind, Procrastination, Hourglass) and learning- both about the future (Precognition/Golden Nymph) and from the past (the Ancient-Egyptian theme- Pharaohs, Anubis, Scarabs)

and for majo:

Kuro used a buffed-deja rush with novas... but seemed to have trouble drawing dejas. However... he did get me down to 30 HP or so, so it was about as close as it could have been. I got three dunes, three CPs, and one of both weapons... so I pretty much got as good a start as possible.

Good game kuro :3

I hit him with an arsenic a bit before switching to eternity and rewind-locking him until I could afla his frogs. My nymph was, suprisingly, the star, since I was under :death'd for most of the match. He managed to get me down to ~30 HP before the second frog (dragon was rewound) fell to infection.

Good game belth, better luck next time :3
