Half Bloods / Re: Anyone else find level 5 AI to be way too easy?
« on: August 28, 2010, 01:11:18 pm »
If luck is with you then grinding AI5 is fine, howeverl its nothing compared to if luck is with you grinding ai6. http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,11830.0.html The rewards need to be increased imo. As whitetigershiro pointed out, theres hardly a good reason to grind them.
True true. I often find that if I'm going to win anything for the day it will be within my first five or six matches. Just the other day I got five upped cards from AI5 in a 4-5 matches (I scored a double on one of the HBs). Later on in the day I played like 10 FG matches winning 6 and won nothing, so I quit and did something else  :P.
Winning 6 FG matches without any card rewards isn't uncommon. I beat about 9 FGs yesterday with 0 card winnings.
Yeah. I hate it when that happens. I wish FGs were worth a bit more electrum. In any case, HBs are a mixed a bunch, I think some are quite easy though and may need their decks revised a bit.

Archived Decks / Re: ESco the Half-Blood killer (wins >95%)

An interesting deck, I tried it out and it really does what it says on the tin "kills HBs. Dead."  :D One question though, is there any means to increase the chance of obtaining an EM victory?

Rainbow Decks / Re: (1.24) CC? Why bother?

Anyway, here are my results, just for your information.
44% win rate, corrected for all gods being just as likely.

Not really 60% but still quite decent I think  :) Maybe I need a bit more practice as well.

[edit] This is the original deck, I'll try out some variations next [/edit]
Thank you for the information! I won against Dark Matter just once and just barely. Once he gets out a Nymph its unlikely you can generate Quanta. Same with Rainbow, he just got a really bad draw.

I also once mutated an AI's scarab into a burrowed creature with  :earth Steal. It ended up stealing a bunch of Shards. Really really annoying  :P

Also I got this giant shroom recently, and it helped win the fight:  ;D

Level 5 what I'm playing exclusively now, except for FG matches after using the Oracle. I use a Can Haz Moar Draw-Timebow variant which wins almost 90% of the time and I have gotten a number of upgraded cards just from playing repeatedly. My games take longer than the usual and I have to play actively, but I don't feel like going to sleep (like AI3 grinding) or banging my head in frustration (like having a long FG loss streak, I can't believe how often some of those suckers come out).

This is what I get for trying to control by mutating.
Yeah, one time I gave the AI an 8/10 Collosal Dragon with Megablaze when I "mutated" his 2nd Anubis. His first Anubis then Quinted it! Really annoying.  :P

False Gods / Re: Most humiliating FG defeats
« on: August 22, 2010, 10:22:01 am »
Back to back games today, using my modified "CC? Why bother?":
Decay: 2 towers in the first 23 cards.
Elidnis: 0 towers in the first 16 cards, died before seeing how deeply the 3rd one was buried.
Sorry, I couldn't bear to save a picture of either.

I sometimes think of tracking these.  I just had another two with no second tower and the second tower the turn before I died.  Advice I have received on why Eternal Phoenix is easy with CCYB is funny: just don't have him destroy your shield.  EP's deck has 8 Explosions.
Yeah, I sometimes add PAs for "just in case" situations like EP, Seisem, Obliterator.... (It's a mixed bag of results though)

Which reminds me, I brought in 3 PAs to modify Puppychows's Timebow (Can I haz moar draw) when I got Obliterator on the Oracle. I drew 3 Towers, of course Oblit's pulvy came out, then I kept pulling out shards before the dragons overtook me... sad.

I don't know if this is that weird, inasmuch as it is quite useless in a timebow, but I got a 0/20 voodoo doll with immaterial.
If your opponent had eclipse/nightfall and a shield that let you attack, it's not totally useless. A carapace would work.
True true. Sadly it was not the case.

Mono life is the best. Its almost like having hax and a cheat code. Though I do get sleepy after playing it for an hour, so I'm farming HBs now  :P

This is very very amusing!  :D

Had a lot of fun fiddling with the Half Bloods and bringing out a massive Chimera
