Trio & Quartet / Re: Fun Pillarless Speed Deck
« on: July 16, 2010, 01:10:58 am »
but novas don't cost annything so I'm not quite sure if it's rainbow or trio.
Sadly, it is a rainbow by current definitions.
There are cards of four different elements here. Despite the fact that there is no cost for nova, it is still from the 'entropy' block.

Trio & Quartet / Entropy/Fractal

Please note...This is an early build, and was intended as a fun deck...But it works decently so far. Subject to balancing/critique, and it will always be appreciated.

Now the deck:

I really wanted to make a deck that would take advantage of the fact that you could run out fractals using supernovas....  In early testing, it has worked better than expected. Quite obviously, there are better rushes...But this one runs relatively well.

Other options I have tried :
Replacing pests with precogs - This was just to be really funny... On a great hand, you run through precogs, and can fractal a lycan on the first turn.

Using Dissipation Shield. - I originally tested this build with Dissipation Shield, for defence, and a Dragon or two for late game. But I decided to instead focus this deck into a good rush.

All comments/critique will be greatly appreciated, but not responded to for a few hours.

Off-Topic Discussions / Re: How did you come up with your IGN?

I think mine is just pretty self explanatory.
I always wanted people to call me 'Lucy,' but nobody would take me seriously.
Disregard that...

Gravity / Re: Gravity Pull | Gravity Force

Read the Card´s text. ...will absorb all the damage directed against its owner...
If you would not get damage, there is nothing you can direct to your creature.
That bold word is the key word there. 'Directed'
The damage is 'directed' at you. The monster is the first thing it is drawn to.
As of this posting, your shield is your last line of defense. Gravity Pull will 'pull' everything to the monster, before it ever gets to you.

(On topic, I love this card. Dual creature control/extra damage shield all in one cheap card!)

Great build...This is exactly what I use...Except I finally got a light nymph to go with it!
(Side note : I had to comment...A great deck that includes Luci for once. :) )

A tournament specifically made for fun?
Lucifear, for all three :)
Hopefully, I'll be the last person to sign up without reading the rules.

I would really like my birthday cake...
But other than that, I really don't think there's anything missing :)

Game Suggestions and Feedback / Re: nymph sell value
« on: May 27, 2010, 04:10:01 pm »
I really do understand the problem here. But ever since I first played Elements, suggestions have often been made to make it more 'simple' or 'easy,' and that's not how it should be.

As xDude aptly mentioned, there are two reasons nymphs really need to stay the same.
 - As a learning experience. Noobs need to look at the cards they get and decide 'Will I use this? Could I use 900 electrum more?'
 - As a worthwhile card. Nymphs are rare.....Very rare. So they need two uses. As a card that you keep, or as a very valuable thing to sell. I've sold more than half of the nymphs I've gotten...All because I know that I will not use them at all. I am very glad that I could sell them for 900, and make an upgrade that I actually find useful now, as opposed to a very valuable card that I won't use.
