Rainbow Decks / Re: Yaladilae's Butterfly Angel (v1.21)

Been fiddling with the deck a little more. It works, but sometimes it plain fails. I quite like the idea of adding another oty instead of using a Guardian Angel or Pest as it allows you to draw one sooner, which might make the difference between a win and lost.

The best hands usually involve an oty, a quint and 3 supernovas, which by then you should be able to handle almost anything most gods throw at you. I had this set up twice against DreamCatcher and easily destroyed him.

From experience, this deck's main flaw is that you really, REALLY, cannot make a mistake. I once screwed up and accidentally clicked bone wall with my permafrost shield up against Incarnate. Misery indeed :(

In fact, I would be more interested in seeing if the deck can be slimmed down even further. For me, I might take out the Miracle, the 2 hourglasses and a quint, and add a phase shield or precognition/sundial for the last card to make an even 30 card deck.

Of course, the nature with smaller decks is instability. You need to judge very well when to use particular cards and how to use them.

Win % wise... I'm not really feeling like I'm winning most of my games against the harder gods, but perhaps that's just me.

Dreamcatcher feels like a roulette deck.

In many cases, if you can set up quickly before he fires up any amount of SuperNovas and doesn't draw a BE that early, you should be fine.

He is quite fast if he gets the right cards. You just need to be faster if he gets a good hand. Once he gets something with BE+Quint, it's close to game over.

2 hourglasses? Isn't that a little too little for a 44 card deck?

Except for one stupid game against Incarnate where I decided that it would be better to play bonewall+RoF instead of keeping Permafrost, a 1/5 win rate ain't that good.

Admittedly, in any decent rainbow, the hand you start with and the subsequent draws are considered more than adequate to set the rainbow off. It is when you don't draw the cards you need the most when you come into problems.

I'm not saying the deck is bad, but it lacks the stability that some other rainbows had.

Speaking of which, do you have a link to the statistics of which you gathered?

This deck WILL NOT let you win against every god. It is just another alternative to the common rainbow, and don't expect it to fare too well against gods like Rainbow or Feral Bond Spamming gods (FireQueen once played 10 bonds against me. Thank goodness for creature control)

That being said, don't expect to win much, if at all, against some gods, while expect to do well against others.

Adding on to yalad's version, if you have an Aether Nymph, you might want to chuck it in to utilise immortality. I haven't tried it since I don't own a single Lobotomiser (seriously, o.O) but it might help.

Unfortunately it is your CPU.

I'm running a 1 GB, 1.66GHZ Atom with Hyperthreading and I can play Elements quite ok with another flash heavy window minimized. I'm on an Asus 1000HE, if it counts for anything.

Watching your videos:

Morte had a lucky draw (Early FFQ + Quint + RoF + Bonewall + relatively early Oty) Not saying its a bad video, but it is a good set of draws, admittedly, against Morte.

One hindsight, most of the videos (or all, rather) have relatively good starting hands, hands that I can never seem to draw.

I would actually prefer a video where you lose with the deck, to have an idea of how the lost happens and in what scenarios that lost might occur. :)

I'm currently thinking of styling ideas around that meld some of the different decks available. I made some changes (+1 SoG, -1 Miracle, +1 Hourglass) and so far it has been a little more consistent, but I'm still losing the games I should not lose (Gemini, for example).

I got some ideas, so I want to go try them out :P

First impressions is that I can't really see how the deck does so well. More often than not I'm stuck with no ability to speed up my draws.

Perhaps its my playing style, but I'm not fond of this deck. It can work, but might not be in my hands.
Try the deck, prehaps you are used to the huge time rainbow.
Do read thru most post in the thread tho, I have added, in various occasion, tips I would give while playing the deck

Do come back and ask me if you see some problems

Afterall, I never said its the best or anything, its what I use so I am more then welcome to have feedback!  ^-^
I used to use a 40 card rainbow, which, while bigger, isn't that significantly bigger. The biggest issue for me is how quanta tight the deck is, and it doesn't help when you need an hourglass within the first few cards to match the card drawing of the gods. In fact, more often than not, I don't draw the right cards. Like, I can never seem to draw the permafrost shield, or the SoGs when I need them.
