hi, welcome to elements XD
I also used to play alot of mtg, but school takes up more time then it used to.
as far as physical damage goes, I believe that it only applies to non-flying creatures.
And ya... it's a bit slow to start elements. Just build towards a good deck floating among the forums.
As for the arena i wait until I spin a card similar to my deck I'm currently running at the time.

So I was playing around with your idea and came up with this deck
It works pretty well, won 4 of the 5 games I played. Using the Unstoppable to get past shields works great and the novas power both these and the Improved Blessings.
Even If the False god gets your scorpions with their cc the poison takes care of them while you stall with the shields. The hourglasses also help, if I had any eternitys I would
defiantly put them in this deck along with any SoGs.

I was making a deck and about to post when I found this
I like this deck especially with it's ability to em on turn 6 against ai3
here's the changes I've made and it seems to run a tad faster, great deck though!

Okay, I think we've established that grammar is not my strong point.
As for adding defense, so far I've tried -2 pillars +2 skull shields which in most cases were little or no help.
The same was in the case of -2 deadly poison +2 skull shield.
Next to try were bone shields which when substituted in for 2 deadly poison were game changers.
Adding another arsenic helped in drawing the weapon, so thank you. XD
The purpose of this deck is to get as many poison counters on the opponent.

7 turns 72 seconds against Ai 3
