Patch Notes and Development News / Re: AI improvements

Octane is in the habit of animating his Eagles *before* detonating his gasses in the same turn, thus unnecessarily damaging his own troops.

AI in top-50 killed one of my troops and *then* played a boneyard in the same turn.

Beat me on my first go as well. Maybe it was my draw, don't know but he got a lot of scarabs out fast. I don't think I helped myself by playing my boneyard; it just gave them more to eat so they grew faster!

Actually I'm not certain. I didn't notice it coming out of a fate egg but it may well have. Perhaps someone else can confirm if they see one played.

Destiny / Changes with 1.21

Note that the deck description at http://elementsthegame.wikia.com/wiki/Destiny is out of date at time of writing for v. 1.21. In a game against Destiny just now it (he/she?) played a Mummy, promptly rewound it to a Pharoah, and then started churning out Scarabs that it then buffed. Suffice it to say that I lost...

Got it, thanks. Useful to know there's a way to kill burrowed/immortal after all.

Issue Archive / Fire Shield targets immaterial Fallen Elf
« on: January 19, 2010, 09:26:22 pm »
This was weird: I put out a Fallen Elf and played Quintessence on it immediately. The Level 5 AI had a Fire Shield (or it could have been the upgrade; didn't think to check at the time) and it then proceeded to kill my Fallen Elf over the next two turns. Shouldn't immaterial creatures be immune from the effects of the Fire Shield?

Perhaps related in terms of how Quintessence works, I've also noticed that playing Quintessence on a creature that already has a virus does not stop the virus from killing that creature. Perhaps this is intentional though?
