Half Bloods / Re: Halfblood Deck Compendium [unupgraded]
« on: July 08, 2011, 07:52:40 pm »
Deck#4 of the Compendium "Aether/Life" is an amazing deck. You really should use nothing else.

While playing this deck at times it seems there is not enough aether quanta, and you often have to choose between continuing your chain of  shields or bringing out a dragon. The other concern I noticed was "deck out". I think I lost because of one deck-out, and I also won 2 games with 0 cards left. These things are what mold my strategy. I don't think you can play this deck successfully without using the strategy. so read on.

Strategy of gameplay
1. Dragons before shields.
 - winning quickly takes precedence over winning with a lot of hp (for electrum)

2. Because of  item#1, allow your hp to go down as far as 50 in order to get Dragon's out first before playing any shields

3. You have 4 heals. Try not to use them when doing item#2.
 - Use 1 if you need to, two if absolutely necessary. You need these for EM at the end.

4. Wait for enemy shields and weapons.
- Stealing your Druidic or your phase shield is less likely when the enemy has played one of their own.

With that, here are my results for 10 consecutive games

Wins: 8 - EM N EM N EM EM N EM (5 Elemental Mastery, 3 Normal wins, in the order shown at left)
Losses: 2 (one loss due to deck out)
Cards: 4 - N N N U (3 normal, 1 upgraded, in the order shown at left)

Electrum: 482 - 80 31 80 20 80 80 31 80 (This does NOT include Electrum from spins, just Electrum from the win itself)

Electrum gain is 482-40= 442 because of 2 losses.

I love this deck! I've tried some of the other unupped with mixed or bad results. This one delivers. Thanks!

Deck Help / Re: AI5 farming, Advice?

AI5 is decently smart. It seems like one good shield would stop you from getting any poison damage.
And if they have things like Oty's plague or infecting creature, could be bad.

Rainbow Decks / Re: It doesn't Matter.

I haven't had much reason to use heal other than at the very end to get mastery. The Antimatter replace Empathic bond. Emphatic requires 6 life quanta and multiple creatures to be effective. Usually this deck wins because of the golem. The Elite queen rarely has more than 3 fireflies out.

Thanks for the Oty idea. I will add another upped one when I can, and remove 1 purify.
Ah. I jut realized what you meant by having the empathic. It only needs to heal 1 damage after I use miracle. Thanks.

Rainbow Decks / It doesn't Matter.

I was trying to build the "CC? Why bother?" deck, but I unfortunately have only 1 shard of gratitude.
So looking at some of the top Upgraded FG decks, I made this. Initially it had Novas, but this deck was able to beat an FG every now and then, and also can get EM's on level 5. So I now have 6 supernova and the speed of the deck is better. Sometimes, you will draw all your supernovas and pillars first, but for the most part this a  great deck for getting EM's on AI3, and I think that it will make a great deck fully upgraded.

One thing that some of those upped FG decks DON'T do is account for things like phase shield, fire shield, carapace shield, ice shield and gravity shield.... but many of those decks try to use FFQ and Lava Golem! When you only have 3-4 creature in your deck, you can't just leave it open to be thwarted by that many contingencies. This is why I added MOMENTUM.

With 1 momentum quint golem, you get past all of those shield problems.
Antimatter should be held as long as possible, to use on the big guns
Pulverizer and Trident are included. Trident is better for when they get many pillars in the beginning.
I have 9 pillar because with only 6, gravity & earth quanta can get scares when you're destroying the field.
If flying weapon shows up early enough you can quint one weapon and use the other, and bring the cpu to a stand still.
Miracle and heal = elemental mastery
Sundial is there for bad draws and when you just need a second

I'm looking for suggestions on speed improvement, or if someone has this in fully upped version... how well odes it work?

One immediate change would be to make the Elite Queen a normal Firefly queen to make sure you have a better chance of using miracle when it shows up. Ok. I'm loving this deck. Suggestions!

I just want to say thank to Scaredgirl. I've been plating this game for since sundial could draw two cards, and the thing I liked the least was changing elements to a new deck and all the fumbling around (losing electrum!) to fix it, then reverting back to a deck that works. Sticking with only one deck is kinda boring. I'm going to use this general idea to go look at decks I've archived and tweak them.

30 cards, 3 elements
Fallen Elves + Photons + Quint. Very small solution.

Nova used to get life quanta for sure, and to ensure sundial stalls in necessary
Once you get a Quinted elf, play a Photon then mutate it.
Mark of Entropy ensures ability to play an elf.

In rush decks the idea is to have 6 strong attackers. 6 mutated photons is perfect, since you can remutate if the first try doesn't go well.

The Rangers themselves are quite formidable. Once you get a Zord summoned, it's over!

Deck Help / Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Well... Ninja Druids
« on: July 18, 2010, 07:35:01 am »
I don't have enough Electrum for an upped rainbow, so I've been trying other stuff. I found that rainbow relied heavily on Life quants (emphatic, mutate, firefly) and time quanta (draw more cards so you aren't killed) but in an unupped deck it's too hard to play well. If your mark is Life you need Time, and if your mark is Time you need Life. Not to mention the rainbow also needs Bonewall and Graveyard to get started. Too many factors. No wonder you go Aether with it. One day when I have 1 million electrum I'll try some of these fully upped decks out. =)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Druids

^_^ I just made a deck like this. Here is my AI3 version.
I'll try to modify it towards this one. Three quints are needed as are three emphatics.
I thought of rustler, but figured that's a vulnerable way to try and get life quanta. Guess I'll try it out anyway.

Thanks for the improvement ideas.
