I just want to say, I had a great time with this War while it lasted.  I'm only sorry that I wasn't able to be more active during deckbuilding-- it's still a skill I'm trying to pick up.  Regardless, you were all awesome, and I hope I can work with you again in the future.

It's risky, but if everyone assumes we have a bad matchup with Aether, Aether will also assume we are swapping, and will not try to directly counter us, but build a more general deck.  Of course, there's always the (decent) chance that they assume otherwise, but that might be a good risk to take.

As stated before in this topic, the main problem is adrenaline.

Unupped: 3 (base) + 3 (Spark) + 9 (Adrenaline) + 9 (Extra sparks) = 24 damage/turn in 8 total quanta from 2 elements.
Upped: 6 (base) + 5 (Blight) + 6 (Adrenaline) + 10 (Blight) = 27 damage/turn in 9 total quanta from 2 elements.

It's much more powerful with the unupped, and I feel that it needs to be rebalanced somewhat.  Just adding +1 to each cost and attack of the unupped version changes it to:

Unupped: 4 (base) + 3 (Spark) + 5 (Adrenaline) + 6 (Extra Sparks) = 18 damage/turn in 9 total quanta from 2 elements.

Seems much more reasonable to me.

Seems extremely strong, possibly overpowered.  Consider that many decks only play one type of pillar or pendulum-- chaining these would be insane.   I feel the only way to balance it would be to increase its cost to a point where it would be next to unplayable.

Discounts of 50% on cards seems unlikely-- the sell price is higher than that, which would make money even more worthless in this game.

The predictability bit only gets worse if we get less decks in our vault.  It's better to just field it now, since it's a deck that everyone's going to be watching out for.

Just a minor nitpick, in the BH/DC deck, why is there a single upped black hole?  Since you need to draw 2 SNs to play it anyway, the cost reduction does nothing.  You'd be better off upgrading almost anything in the deck, unless you up both holes, which seems fishy in itself.

Zeru pretty much summed it up.  Game 2 was closer than he realized, probably-- if I'd had 2 more life quanta, I would have been able to heal, which I believe would have won me the game.
