Game Suggestions and Feedback / Immaterial weapons being animated
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:08 pm »

It never asks you to select your weapon before animating it. If you don't have a weapon in the weapon slot and you play animated weapon, the card goes away. This is in contrast to a card like Parallel Universe, which requires you to target a card in order to twin it. If you play Parallel Universe with nothing available to twin, you can hit "cancel" and you get your card back. I guess this is the difference to me.

False Gods / Favorite false god strategies?
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:06 pm »

I think Hermes is my least favorite false god. It seems like I never get enough sundials before he destroys me with fire lances. Still, PUing his giant golems does sound like a good idea if you can last long enough to do it. Get a bone wall up by that point and you're probably golden.

False Gods / Can false gods choose not to draw two cards per turn?
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:06 pm »

I was just playing Rainbow, who had three cards left. The next turn, I noticed he only had two cards left (like he had only drawn one card instead of two). I thought it was a fluke, but the next turn after that, he had one card left. I've never noticed this happening before - has anyone else ever had this happen?

I agree that this would be helpful, but it's possible that there might not be enough players to satisfy a specific score request like this. It's not ideal, but there is always the option of building a rainbow and grinding the false gods until you get enough upgraded cards to feel like you can play on more even footing with players with higher scores.

General Discussion / How to Farm (tips)
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:04 pm »

Yeah, the hackers have gotten bad in the past few days. I just checked and there are 24 hacker decks in the top 50. It's a lot harder to farm (or play for fun) when almost 1/2 of the decks are crappy cheater decks.

False Gods / Favorite false god strategies?

Yeah, I realize it would be faster and easier to destroy the shield, but I guess I find it fun to watch him run out of quantum. Probably not the best false god strategy to start with, although it is definitely worth mentioning to be very careful stealing his shield.

False Gods / Favorite false god strategies?

I'm posting this to ask people out there to share their favorite false god specific strategies. Even if you think a strategy might be obvious, please post it anyway since it might help someone new to the game.

This was inspired by one of my favorites.

Chaos Lord

I recently finished a game against Chaos Lord where he put up a dissipation shield early in the game. When this happens, I concentrate on getting as much damage on the table as fast as I can, in order to completely deplete him of quantum. Of course, this works much more smoothly if I also draw a pulverizer. I don't destroy his dissipation shield (unless he has a ton of quanta and it's close to the end of the game), instead, I destroy his towers, one by one, starting with the quantum towers. Even without a pulverizer, if you can leave Chaos Lord with 0 quanta around the middle of the game, it's usually easy to win after that (depending on how many towers he has).

The converse of this is something that I have stupidly done too many times. Do not ever steal his shield unless you have no fear of running out of quanta. If you steal it around the beginning of the game, you will likely die. You'll take no damage for a few turns, but be left with absolutely no quanta when the shield finally fails. If you steal it without thinking ("d'oh!"), save your supernovas until the shield is gone.

Duo-Decks / Earth/Water: Tsunami deck
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:03 pm »

Do you find yourself short on earth quanta when playing this deck? Poseidon requires 2 earth quanta to use its ability, so you could only use it every other turn at best without being able to use your other earth requiring cards.

Miracle / Tip for speeding up Miracle
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:03 pm »

Yeah, I love doing this to him. Especially when there was a lot of green left on his bar at the beginning of the turn and a couple of PUs turn the whole thing yellow.

General Discussion / Kickin' some face in the top 50
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:02 pm »

Have you considered bone shields instead of dimensional shields?  Since you can constantly rebuff them with your oty + skeletons or fireflies, I've found them to be the superior choice...
Plus, it is fun to get your bone wall up to 40 or more shields and feel invincible for the rest of the game (well, as long as you have some kind of creature control).

General Discussion / Slot wheel mysteries revealed (finally!)
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:01 pm »

I see pillars appear in slots all the time when playing T50. It happens often enough that it makes me agree with the above poster who suspected there might be a bug.

Gemini / Gemini's Massive Dragon spamming
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:01 pm »

Another thing I didn't see mentioned (though I did read quick so might have missed)

Save your lobotomizer/ulitharid in case you do mutate a dragon into something dangerous with an ability he can use and can't take care of right away. Like a devouring armagjo... ouch...
I got a devouring armaggio once! It was awesome - it had 29 health (or thereabouts) and could eat anything (well, maybe not a flying titan, but anything else).
