Rainbow Decks / SNBow Deadliest Poison
« on: July 15, 2011, 01:32:27 pm »
I based this deck by and large off of a deja vu rush I use to play with. I got bored with that though and lately I have been trying to make a SpeedPoison deck. Im really enjoying this one but it is plagued by the same issues my deja vu deck suffered; sometimes a slow start and a slightly too often recurring series of bad draws. Any suggestions?

Just a few stats from my first 30 games:
Average TTW: 7 (this stat is kind of unreliable since, due to some good/bad draws, Ive won games from 5-12 turns)
Average time: 62 sec
Win% (vs AI3): 90% (27 wins/3 losses)

Really the deck is playing "okay"; but considering there's 0 chance of ever getting an EM with it I want it to be a lot faster to make up a bit for the sake of farming.

General Discussion / Re: Pillar/Tower #s
« on: July 11, 2011, 07:29:32 am »
Im slowly becoming familiar with the practice but a few things still confound me to no end, namely the balance in rush decks. Pepoker is an incredible way to get a lot of quanta quickly without using QP/T or SN but a lot of the cards with intermixed, low cost elements seem almost like they are trying to force a synergy. My big problem is that if I have too many P/T to fund a lot of low-cost cards/abilities then it often clogs my hand and slows my rush.

(btw Im not really looking for a solution but a discussion just on all the little things that go with quantum balance and synergy)

General Discussion / Pillar/Tower #s
« on: July 11, 2011, 07:12:19 am »
Why is it that whenever Im messing around and making random 30 card decks I need 12 pillars/towers to make it work but any time I pull a deck off this site it works fine with just 10?

The Arena / Re: Involuntary level-up?
« on: July 10, 2011, 10:52:27 am »
How unreasonable would it be for someone to be able to control which league their deck plays in? How cool will it be if I had say x2 mark, double draw, and some HP bonus; it's less than 40 SP and would have just as many benefits as any other silver league deck.

Short-and-long of it, I wish our decks were ranked by the # of SP used as apposed to our actual level.

The Arena / Re: What is rating
« on: July 03, 2011, 08:58:29 pm »
Can someone help me understand why my deck that was rated 368 with 9 wins and 10 losses dropped to a rating of 782 with 9 wins and 11 losses?

The Arena / Re: Banning Supernova and Quantum Tower from Arena
« on: July 03, 2011, 08:55:45 pm »
Like in an RTS game, the cards/units should be universally the same throughout all the match types. Changing the stats of some cards or completely banning others would do more than break the staleness of some of the decks used in the arena, it would take away the options for other potential uses of the cards as well (ie. using quantum towers in combo with upped dissipation shield and a x3 :entropy mark in a mono-entropy deck).

The only time I used a rainbow deck with the oracles cards was Day 1 with the skeletons. Since then Ive actually been enjoying just trying to make a deck that conforms to the handicap and is still effective. I dont think the problems presented by SN and QT are present as much in Bronze, Silver, and to an extent, Gold. My suggestions to fix whatever the percieved problems with the Arena are would be to add a secondary, minor handicap to Gold and either two minor handicaps to Platinum or one major handicap.

Some of possible caps could be, -not being able to reuse cards used in the previous day's deck, -no more than 3 element types to the deck, -must use # of cards in the day's deck, etc. etc.

I also think that if diversity is the goal then players only having enough SP to max on 3 of the 4 benefits could go a ways to forcing some adaptations.

I'm nowhere near as experienced with this game as several of the people who have already posted on this subject but even I know that if everyone is choosing the same options the answer is not to lock those doors but to either present more options or just make those doors a weird shape.

Im currently in the process of drawing up some tribal renditions of elements' dragons and weapons. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find some high res images for them; both the ones on the cards and any possible concept pieces should they exist.

At this point I actually have the photons in there more for the butterfly effects. Most of the time Ill actually end up using mitosis on one of the elves or a mutation.

Ok =D thanks, I'll give that a go. Personally I like the Fire Buckler just because its the only sort of CC I have right now and it actually seems to do a pretty good job of stalling.

Well I based the dragonbow Ive been working on off of the guy who beat me. So far it's doing decently, and it's pretty amazing when I get those perfect draws, but at the same time it feels kind of slow. That may be because I typically use rush decks but Im trying to refine this one, preferably before I upgrade all the cards.
