Hi im to the forum, not veteran to this particular  game but im playing TCGs for a long time, so i believe i can have a rounded oppinion about game balance/fun/fairness/competition factors.

Ofc I dont believe my opinions alone are enough so i expect/request feedback of all kind as long as it is constructive and has valid arguments.

1)Immortality/Immaterial
When i first played this game There was only protect artifact, Morning star and the 2 Ether Creatures having this ability. Also Anubis could cast this and i thought he was kinda imba back then. Thankfully he was expensive and he needed to be in a 2collored deck.

Now there is the spell "Quintessence" and the Nymph that duplicates the spells effect.

My point is that Immortal Creatures with control abilities have no way to be countered except 2 shields in the whole game. Immortal Oty, Immortal Mind Flayer etc. When something like that enters the board it ruins the competition.

I believe there is apoll about Oty being imba out there. From my poin of view, Its not Oty the problem...

My solution: Immortal -> Immaterial/Phasing
Immaterial/Phasing -> 50% Chance to evade an effect when targeted. This way you will be able to protect your creatures but not make them gamebreaking.

Immortal and Phase Dragon dont need to change since they only do damage. The have Immortality. The spell and the Nymph will cast Phasing making the creature immaterial not immortal.

Ill wait to hear some feedback and then edit for my next suggestion.

Design Theory / Re: Steal My Idea!

Hi, im new to the forum.

This thread seemed perfect to share my ideas but im not sure if they'll be heard.

Anyway:
Common card game abilities:
1)Draw a Card when you play this card (Mostly spell or small creature)
2)Draw a Card When this card is destroyed (Mostly creature or Permanent)
3)Series of small creatures with sacrifice/collor effect (Like virus but on all collors)
EX: White casts Blessing, Red rage potion or fire lance, Blue Icebolt or Purify etc.
4)Pillars with abillities that will follow the 6 card rule.
5)Pillars with: Sacrifice: Add 3 collored quanta in addition to normal effect.

Also some changes encouraging Trio decks would be realy great.
Some first ideas are:
Mark that adds 2 quanta
Mixed collor Cards (Fast example: Ice Elemental Costing any combination of 6 Water+Air Quanta)

Nova and Creamation should be harder to pull off. Im sick of Non-pillar redstomping
Add "Draw a card" to more cards.
Good choices imho would be Blessing,Momentum,Skeleton,Rage potion,Animate weapon. Stuff like that that have effect with many drawbacks.

Edit: 24/08/2010
The existing Passives are i)Poisonous ii)Airborne (Am i forgeting something?)
I find that passives add alot to the game strategy as soft counters.
so:
More Creature Passives: 1)Massive: Immune to devour
2)Blazing: Immune to Freeze
3)Vengeful: Deals its damage to the one who targets it. (Creature or Player)
4)"Cool name" : Immune to lobotomize
5)"Cool name" : Immune to Reverse time
6) Protection from "Element": The creature is immune to all damage and effects of the "Element".

Just though I would make a point of something if persons are unaware. This will produce 1 for a Pillar Stack and 1 for a Tower Stack. Ie 1 Fire Pillar, 1 Fire Tower, 1 Harmonic Pillar produces 4 :fire.
Great idea. Makes the gap between Upgraded and non-upgraded smaller as well.

MaxMilen these cards (and Precognition) don't give you ANY card advantage because you spend a card to GET a card...

these cards are free ways to conver 3 generic quanta to 3 specific quanta...
seems a little overpowered because you get something for free...

basically you can put +6 of these in every deck without unbalancing the previous creatures/pillars/permanent ratio
Thats not bad. It add to the game more strategy options and helps you have the wanted cards in a non-time deck.

I kinda like it. I would like to see "draw a card" on more collors for sure.

My only drawback is that it may be abused with Novas/Creamations. But from my point of view the problem is created because of Nova/Creamation.

Nerf This Card! / Re: Quintessense | Quintessense

Hi, Im new to the forums but i like the game and try to help as i can.

Quint: Target creature with HP less than (X)  or Cost more than (Y) Becomes immortal. Or something like that.
,
From my point of view The best way to Prevent immortallity being imba is adding restrictions to is use.
