Death / Re: Round 6 - Decks
« on: November 30, 2010, 06:27:45 pm »
we could build a death/light duo for one of the matches vs. fire with the reflect shield and miracle.  That would work well vs. a poison/bolt deck or any of their other decks that might have bolts in them.  It's too bad we can't field 2 of them.

If we do a couple of suicides we really should put them against the weakest teams such as Time and Earth.  Tho it would be funny to suicide vs. earth since they did it 3 times to us last round.  If only 1 suicide it should prolly be vs. time tho I think.  Altho, Gravity could also be a decent option for a suicide if you aren't able to find a decent deck to go vs. that charger deck.

We should really push to give a couple of defeats to fire if at all possible since of this rounds opponents they are the most dangerous over the long run.

Well, thats a bummer that I got to face :earth's other suicide deck.  Here is what I would have used.

I voted no.  For my 2 cents, I think there should be either a team UW or a Team Rainbow. No matter how different you make their vault rules they basically serve the same purpose.  If there is a team Rainbow the master should be the Grandmaster from the previous war or a General appointed by the grandmaster if he can't participate.

Here is a deck that I am working on for vs. earth.  It was suggested I used the entropy pillars/pendulums to save the death pends for other decks.  This needs much testing and tweaking but my day off has just been interupted by an emergency at work that only I can fix.  If I am not back today I will def be around more tomorrow to continue testing.  In the mean time suggestions are alway welcome.

Interesting.

I wonder how/if many people will deliberately attempt to get into team underworld next war.

Round 4 / Re: Corrum (Death) 2 vs. PhantomFox (Gravity) 0

Yes, He used the first deck by mistake then used the correct deck for the second game.  One would assume there will be a penalty involved with him using an illegal deck.

Round 4 / Corrum (Death) 2 vs. PhantomFox (Gravity) 0
« on: November 17, 2010, 10:46:31 pm »
Well, both games I didn't start out with more than a pillar or 2.

In the first game I managed to have a lightning in hand every time he played a charger.  He froze my mummies as I managed to play them but he never got a shield out and I was build out some decent poison before he used a purify.

There was a short interlude as I got a call from my boss.  When I got back PF said that he was using the wrong deck.  We continued in the second game with him using the correct one.  In this one again I had a slow start but PF's seemed to be slower.  He had a couple of pendulums early and a pillar but didn't get the quanta he needed very quickly.  Eventually he got out a titan while I had several mummies.  He got out his shield just before I could start fielding a dragon.  Again had lightnings in hand when he played a mercenary.  He used gravity pull to off a couple of my mummies but it wasn't enough and I drew a dragon in the last turn to finish him.

And I finally break my losing streak for War #2  :)

Gravity does have some purifies left.  They won with this deck last round.

I expect they will use something like this minus the upgrades and possible with more chargers to get past bone wall.

Malduk,
Don't let it get ya down.  You put together awesome decks but luck of the draw can only be mitigated not eliminated.  There were several wins this round where matches went against the probabilities.

Next round we shall crush them!

Round 3 / Re: (Aether) Boingo 2 - 0 Corrum (Death)
« on: November 12, 2010, 02:23:50 am »
Yeah, very close matches.  In the first one Boingo won because he had a purify that healed him for 1 leaving him at 1 hp after the Titan hit him.

In the second game, I didn't get the momentums in hand to keep up the pressure once he started the shield lock.  Also, had a plague that was just a dead card against all the immortal creatures.
