Nerf This Card! / Re: [POLL] Which Cards are Overpowered? 1.29
« on: January 24, 2012, 05:59:11 pm »
Yeesh... Just played someone with six Shards of Sacrifice in their hand. I had nothing in my deck to counter that, but I couldn't even think of any conceivable way to do so with any combination of cards. Maybe take it down to sacrificing 30 life for having the damage flipped for one turn?
Upped sundials are pretty much the counter.

I would have thought focus would be more like turning all of your quanta into your mark's type + extra quanta for gravity or somebecause as it is I don't see much focusing.
I really like this idea and think it has a whole lot of potential. It's a lot more balanced than the current card is, which would significantly unbalance game. Currently it's basically saying you have to protect your permanents or any deck can destroy them. What fun would pvp be when no matter what kind of deck you're playing against they can destroy your permanents a turn or two after you play them? When a lot of people have these shards it would eventually make most PCs next to useless, while a couple of them get an extreme boost, like Emerald Shield and Morning Glory.

If it's changed to brainz' idea it would only benefit certain elements more than others, keeping them in theme with all of the other shards so far. Most importantly it doesn't provide every single element with a distinct ability (PC) that should remain exclusive to the elements as they are now. I personally think there doesn't need to be any more PCs than there already are. Plus it would actually make sense to call it Shard of Focus.

I really dislike the idea of every element having PC, especially one that's reusable. I personally don't think there should be or needs to be any more PC cards than there already are. If it does get added it would, in my opinion, unbalance the entire game. It needs a total overhaul or I'd be pretty disappointed if it gets implemented.

I think I should add a sanctuary, but having just one decreases my chances of getting it when I need it. Decks loaded with black holes are devastating against this deck. If AI has them they usually play them early and often, which is when quanta is most important to this deck. Unless I have a few towers on the field I'll just quit at that point.

Try it in the trainer if you want

elementsthegame.com/trainer

I mostly use it against level 5.

I'm sure I'm not first to use that thread title, but what the heck, it describes it pretty well  :P It's similar to other rainbows but I haven't seen one that it's near identical to.

Yeah I've been using fog, and added another hourglass. Actually  :darkness has never really been a problem. I usually use my steal early on, I try to save my cloak for when I have a lot of creatures and permanents, so that's around mid-game, and I typically don't use liquid shadow until the last few rounds, preferably when I get a huge chimera on the field. Because they're usually used at very different stages in the game it's rarely been a problem. They've all saved my butt on many occasions, so I can't see getting rid of any of them.

Black-holes are devastating against this deck, but adding a sanctuary on top of my archangel (which is a very important card in this deck) is pretty much out of the question  :(

I'm really loving Chimera. It's saved me more times than I can count, and raised my EM rate in the process :)

On another good note, when your opponent tries to twin universe your chimera it makes his own out of HIS creatures, instead of directly copying yours. Unless they have a lot of strong creatures on the field a TU is nothing to worry about. Antimatter on the other hand...

I was just about to edit my post to see if that's what you meant. Guess that answers my question  :)
