No, chasing cards is literally the worst part of the game. I swear that EtG community is actively trying to make this game the least fun it possibly can be with its insistence that hard to obtain rares are good, esoteric card design is acceptable while insisting wordier cards are bad, the lack of activity in PvP1 and 2, the arena being a huge focus of the game instead of just straight up trying to play a non-goofy card game, the PvP weekly tournaments being an uphill battle for new comers because winning unobtainable rares, etc. Really, the EtG community has no understanding of what makes a card game good.
I partly agree with you, in that I would love an in game tournament system, similar to the ones run on Poker sites, ie. for 1000 electrum you sign up to a 8 player knockout tournament, and electrum/rares are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Wrong =!= False.

If I give a Spanish person a Nova and they think "but it won't go anywhere", they're wrong.

The Bible, in any English form, is wrong.
Essence, I gotta side with BP on this one.  The original Hebrew and Greek are considered the Bible, yet you assume in your OP that the people reading this thread will be on the same page with you excluding the original translations.  Topic title needs changed to avoid misunderstanding.
Im not sure this is correct... although the bible is taken from a select few Hebrew and Greek texts, codified around the C6th bc, the exclusion of many relevant yet ignored testaments (eg the book of Judas) suggests that no true bible (ie. complete word of God) exists.

Without a 'true' bible... what does it matter that a corrupt text was further corrupted by the english language :)

Some would say Jesus is the greatest christian in history, however I believe his mother, Mary, who is untainted with sin, is the greatest testament to Christian virtue.

Thanks Scaredgirl, I liked your post!

However, I was under the impression that Jesus did exist, or rather quite a few Jesus, and the biblical version is an amalgamation of many Jesus' with a few super powers thrown in for effect to sway the simple-minded into believing in christianity rather than one of the many other equally available religions of the time?

I am in minority it seems, but I feel that an auction house is not required, and would probably have a detrimental effect on the game.

All the rares are available to anyone willing to put the time in ie. arena farming.

All upped cards are available by FG farming, and putting the time in.

Spare electrum, from selling duplicate upped can be used to purchase those upped cards you havent won.

All the game requires is plenty of time to spend chasing cards.... which is the point of the game, no?

OOh, no replies, and a one star rating?!!

I guess I am the only one curious about the possibility that the bible can be mistaken about the birth of Jesus, and IF it can get something so simple wrong, it is impossible to take anything in it at face value.  Of course the bible is the cornerstone, the foundation, the bedrock of Christianity... yet it would seem to be 'mistaken'.

I am therefore, until I hear otherwise, of the belief that Christians are mistaken, and that 'faith' or 'belief' are not virtues, but probably a sign of ignorance, indoctrination, and quite possibly stupidity :P

Religion / Bethlehem, virgins and Jesus.

From what I understand...

Joseph & Mary went to Bethlehem under the Roman orders of a census, whilst Mary 'the virgin' was pregnant with Jesus.  Apparently there was a prophecy that the Messiah/son of God would be born in Bethlehem(?) from the line of King David (I'm not sure) of which Joseph could trace his lineage?

Now, Im confused, over a number of these biblical issues, and am hoping a bible scholar can help...

1.  The reference to giving birth in Bethlehem is I believe only mentioned in just one Book.
2.  There is absolutely no record of any Roman census at this time, in Israel.
3.  Further, there is no evidence that a census requires anyone to travel to the town of their birth.
4.  To fulfill the Messiah prophecy, the child must be of the line of david(?), and therefore I assume Joseph rather than God has be the father?

I accept, that I may have some details wrong, as I dont read the bible, as I find it poorly written, and the plot is a bit too 'tenuous' for my literary tastes, however, I hope the more learned can help shine a light on this curiousity.

Thank you, and for those that watch QI, we blessedly thank David Mitchell & Stephen Fry for this gem.

The refusal to test your faith stems from a subconscious internal fear that you are wrong.
If you are willing to test your faith in your doubts, then it shows that even though you have doubts, you know God will come through in the end.
Despite your initial points, your conclusion appears to confirm my belief ie. you can test faith with impunity when: "you know God will come through in the end."  BP
