Rainbow Decks / Re: Rainbow Control PVP1 - Hourglass I just love you
« on: September 25, 2011, 11:48:10 pm »
I lost to this just before I went on the forums.... curses.... =(

edit: wait no it was 50 cards and had 16 pillars according to my opponent. Not 12. Other than that exactly the same deck(I saw novas and the cards in this deck were the only ones played in the one I faced).

edit2: possibly put in a reflective shield just to counter any stall-> OTSpell kill decks? :)
Imo 16 Pillars are too much (when it really was same deck), the amount of pillars is kinda good, so far didnt lose any game due to shortness of pillars, nor do i draw too many of them.

I never encountered an stall->OTSpell deck so far in PVP1, but you should use PC to counter it. An early Fire shield can be devastating if you're lacking the PC indeed. And it needs very careful decisions (which and when creatures put to play etc.) to win this matchup, so yeah it's hard I can imagine.
Nevertheless, reflective shields are too situational (reflective shield) or too expensive (emerald shield). But if the rate of stall->OTSPell decks increases OR you're so lucky to encounter them often switching a forest sprite with an emerald shield could work for you. That's the nice thing about this deck - you can nearly always fit it to current metagame.

Rainbow Decks / Rainbow Control PVP1 - Hourglass I just love you
« on: September 24, 2011, 10:46:15 pm »
Hey,

wanted to share my fairly successful PVP1 Deck with you and am asking for suggestions to improve it:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4vh 4vh 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 52l 55u 55u 590 590 5c1 5c1 5f6 5f6 5if 5if 5lm 5lm 5og 5on 5rk 5rk 5rl 5rl 5rl 5rl 5rl 5up 5up 5ur 61q 623 8ps

It's a very versatile Deck with responses to nearly any kind of Deck, still it's relatively fast and challenging to play.
Like the title says it's a control Deck, that's why it's core is build by hourglasses. try to outdraw the enemy, so you always have more cards than him. That way it's able to control the field and win easily. Quantum usage is distributed to all elements, so no quantum is unused ;) .
Once an hourglass is out and you're opp hasn't got a rush on his hand neither an hourglass himself it's pretty game.
You draw twice as much as him, +heal a lot due to sanctuaries and stiletto, grow creatures and  disrupt his strategies.
Because of novas you aren't even that dependent on quantum luck from pillars:
everytime you lack 1 quantum to play a card you just use a nova or two, that's another reason you can come into play fast, even if pillars aren't liking you in that match at all.

Most cards explain themselves, so I think I don't have to explain them. Current Rating is 2100+ (still skyrocketing) and several wins against 7000+ opps weren't that hard :D
Win Rate PVP: 85-90%
Win Rate half-bloods: ~60% (estimated, played only 3 times so far)

Some Suggestions? I'm not that satisfied with the skull shield, so which death card would you pick for it ? Played with arsenic earlier, but 2 shields are minimum IMO due to rush decks. Overall only fast Rushes/ Decks with Hourglass stand a chance if you're not drawing really bad. Some ideas against that decks would be good.

More Cardz ! ... obvious
And better PVP experience (maybe a lobby, where you can chat ? very common in ccgs, and usable for tourneys)

I know there is already a chat, but couldnt find it so far  :))

General Discussion / Nerf De-Sync Bug, it's OP -.-
« on: September 24, 2011, 11:46:09 am »
Seriously guys, there's only one reaction to this:

I feel like I'm getting it in like 70% of my games, and it's always far from being "corrected". Gives me some good laughs at least sometimes and even some wins when the whole opponents army disappears just to heal him completely :D
Is it too hard / too time-intensive to make it disappear ? I mean it's known for some time I think.

What's your experience with the De-sync bug ? And do you get it as often as me, or am I just the luckiest guy here, getting free comedy everyday  ;D? Is it known what triggers it ? Slow connection maybe ? And how do you deal with it ?

General Discussion / Re: Fire Stall's Status in the Metagame
« on: September 24, 2011, 11:14:43 am »
Checked some of them out, and reason why this is so good is obvious:
OP cards are OP :D

Really, Fire has one of the best CC and PC. Fire shield ? Are they serious ? Damaging ALL
creatures that ever will hit the field. Totally OP - same goes to Sanctuary's stacking heal
effect. Using it in my rainbow control deck two times because of his OPness, too ;)
Won't say anything about miracle, that's really obvious.

But, i don't think its such of a deal, it's a control deck without hourglass. Thats its weakness,
at least rainbow decks have a good chance against it. They run the necessary PC (steal, deflag)
and are faster in drawing cards trough hourglass.

So to counter this deck IMO you just have to run more PC, its overall good anyways. The only Problem is that some Elements just dont have good options for PC, which is unfair, because Pc is very powerful in this game as long as you dont play stupid "i just get much damage on the field and roxxxorrz this game!!11!!".

Just my opinion, no hate pls  :P

Actually, what IS firestall ?
You maybe could explain this, because there are new players to that game, too and not everyone of them can read your mind ;)

Deck Help / Rainbow unupped [PvP, half-blood] upping decisions ?
« on: September 21, 2011, 08:02:10 pm »
Hey,

so i'm pretty new to this game, but still like it a lot. That's why i need some help with my rainbow deck.
Made some other decks before, but this was my best build so far:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4vd 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 52q 55u 55u 55v 590 590 5c1 5c1 5f6 5fa 5fb 5i5 5i5 5lm 5lm 5og 5rl 5rl 5rl 5up 5up 623 7q5 8ps

Using it for PvP1 (changing the upgraded hourglas for an unupped) and half-bloods farming. Winrates are about 55-60% for half-blood and 80+% in PvP.

Arsenic will be replaced by either Eternity or the entropy weapon (forgot the name), if i get one.

Tried to cover all elements with my cards so no quanta stays unused, besides that I like the control engine in it.
So, do you have some improvements for it ? Maybe speeding it up ? Usually i lose against very fast rushes, especially with a medium/bad hand. Another Problem is a shortness of fire quanta sometimes (gravitons using it to grow).

Furthermore i don't know how to specialize it further for PvP / farming, what are good improvements to perform better in each of them ? Finally i need some help with which cards i should upgrade first.

Thx for any help in advance =)

btw: if you find some typos or grammar errors, be kind i'm not a native speaker  :P
