Can be used as a both offensive and defensive card. Offensive if used on your opponent's creatures, which will be likely to die soon, and defensive if you use it on a resilient creature, like a flying titan (80 damages!!) or a massive dragon (30 damages). Remember: a momentum'd creature gets past gravity pull.

Simple. Gravity Pull + Flying Titan = Win
Or Gravity Pull + Flying Titan + Rewind = 3 cards wasted  :))

Why gravity pulled creatures get damage even if you dont, because Hope, Diashield, etc ?

gravity pulled creatures are unaffected by shields because the shield is yours, not your creature's

Read the Card´s text. ...will absorb all the damage directed against its owner...
If you would not get damage, there is nothing you can direct to your creature.

That bold word is the key word there. 'Directed'
The damage is 'directed' at you. The monster is the first thing it is drawn to.
As of this posting, your shield is your last line of defense. Gravity Pull will 'pull' everything to the monster, before it ever gets to you.

(On topic, I love this card. Dual creature control/extra damage shield all in one cheap card!)
