It's also really good with mitosis and andrenaline+momentum.

This card, if used wisely, can develop a really strong PC. Used together with Butterfly Effect (on the same card, it's a passive ability) and Shard of Focus, this proves a PC/anti-PC card cluster to implement in a deck. Those three cards (in different proportions) guarantee absolute PC during the game.

I don't think the salvager has enough uses to be worth using in a deck.

Salvagers have a few hidden weaknesses I think should be clarified.

1) Only returns one permanent per Salvager per turn.
2) Only returns one per Earthquake, regardless of how many Salvagers you have.
3) Cannot Salvage while Frozen or Delayed.

Discussion:

(1) is explained in the wording "a permanent [...] is returned to your hand," but it would be clearer to write "one permanent".
(2) does not make sense to me, and it feels that following rule (1) multiple Salvagers should return multiple pillars, even if they're destroyed simultaneously.
(3) may be good to balance the card, but it is not clear Devourers stop devouring when Frozen or Delayed, but Dragon Flies and Gnome Riders still produce Quanta as long as they aren't frozen (i.e. they still produce while they're delayed).

Salvagers and Devourers' abilities are passive (i.e. can't be Lobotomized), but how come Voodoo still works after the Voodoo Doll is Frozen? And how come Adrenaline helps a creature break Freeze? It is not obvious how passive abilities are affected by Freeze and Delay.

Good for security if you require permanents. Like "protect artifact", but gravity and in creature form.
Beware of using this against life's poison shield - or you'll find yourself without protection. AI opponents don't really concern themselves about this.

couldn't you always play a deck with quint salvagers, eternities, dim shields, SoR, hourglasses, butterfly effect, photon and nightmare.

play photon and nightmare it. when the AI plays it you butterfly effect it and SoR it and quint it. Play quinted salvs on your side with one in hand to use with eternity to never run out of cards. use dim shields with hourglass, (they'll destroy hourglass first) to stop their damage for two turns and on it's last turn dont play the hourglass again. They'll still hit you, but only every three turns. If it turns out they'll target dim shields over sundials then you could stop their damage like that but you would eventually run out of the sundials.

Idk if that made sense, ... would it work?

Ya I know it's not a good strategy. It's just interesting the amount of things one can do against AI with the enough card combo's. I'm thinking my next deck will involve nymph's tears, lobo/ulitharid, SoW and mirror shield.
