What are the various advantages and disadvantages of the starting decks?  Is there a more in-depth description for each starting element somewhere, than the one found in the element picker screen?  I am still trying to decide on a starting element.

Thanks!

I don't think any of the starter decks are really good as they are.  You'd have to modify all of them a fair amount to be usable.  With that in mind, I wouldn't worry as much about the deck itself but either go for whichever one sells for the most electrum(darkness if I remember right) or just decide which element(not just the specific deck) you might like to play most.  And keep in mind that in the long run, you will want a number of different decks anyway so you won't be stuck with that choice for too long

High value is a good idea, since it would let me explore a variety of options sooner.  Also, I read that the darkness starter deck is fairly balanced, which is also nice.  Thank you, I'll go with that!

used to be super important, cost 100 :electrum to change your mark (every time)

now?  not very important.  starting everyone with a weak deck is the right idea, allowing a player to immediately see ways to improve the deck is the first step to getting hooked.
Zombie0 gives 110 percent whenever he's in the arena. He's a team player who delivers both offensively and defensively. He has no idea what a Quantum is.
