Not exactly.

As you have heard from Vindi in the chat, the community is doing what it can to keep the game going. This includes competitions, PvP events and tournaments.
In terms of actual gameplay, not a lot of people play this anymore. You can, however, find more people on Kongregate and Discord if you are looking for PvP. (Also like Vindi said.)

Yes, unfortunately. But its community is still alive and thriving! :P

Nope, the game is still alive. No need to spread false information.

I wouldn't call a game alive if the game hasn't seen either an update or an active developer for a very long time. That said, EtG is still available for play for those interested, especially via weekly tournaments and PvP events like 12 lives that you have hosted.

Alive game != Active development

Players keep the game alive, not the dev, although an active dev does contribute quite a bit if he knows what he's doing.

In that case, I regret what I've said and this game is still alive...

I agree with ian that there is a difference between dead game and dead development.

I mean, I wouldn't call Chess a "dead game", but that is hardly in active development... :P
