Newbie Question: What Deck Should I Build?

I noticed that most of the top decks have many shards in them.  I have several shards but not nearly as many as I need.  What Gold/Platinum farming deck should I save up for?

I regularly farm Bronze and I've built up 10k electrum.  Obviously I can save more but I thought I'd ask more experienced players before saving up 45k gold.  At this point I'm not even sure what deck to save for, since I see many alternatives on forums but don't know which is best.

Honestly, I think because of all the 1hp decks one of the most valuable places to farm is Silver. It's almost as easy as bronze but much higher electrum rate. Bring a fast grabbow or speedbow and plough into those 1hp goldmines until you have enough shards to get into one of the great platinum farmers

If you are dead set on going for platinum, I'd bring devtal if you don't have enough shards for another farmer

plat > bronze > silver > gold.

Is there a way to test out decks before actually spending tons of gold on upgrading your cards? I did use the trainer but it doesn't seem to allow playing against arena, only against the regular AIs and FGs.

Also, does the spectator mode not work or is it just me?

Trainer is the only place to test im afraid.
