Gravity doesn't have nearly as much control as darkness

unupped gravity stands no chance, upped there are a few decks that can occasionally beat perfectly reasonable darkness decks, but in mono it tends to be pretty hard to counter devs and siphon life at the same time whilst not loosing the dmg race in the meantime. Also the fact darkness can use decent shields and one of the best weapons while stealing them from gravity just makes it an uphillbattle.

Gravity doesn't have nearly as much control as darkness

For control...

Darkness has steal, devourer, drain life, parasite, and sort of control with black nymph/liquid shadow and nightmare.
Gravity has shard of focus, black hole/amber nymph, gravity pull, otyugh, and some sort of control with acceleration.

In my opinion the level and type of control offered by both elements is quite similar.
