Fire Stall's Status in the Metagame

The only time I use firestall is to kill specific false gods. I don't use it at all in PVP (I hardly even PVP) and rarely even against half bloods. It's just too slow, not fun, and not really worth it.

That's the originally posted Firestall. There are unupped versions with Heal and unupped versions with Sanctuary and Miracles. General opinion is mostly opposed to the latter; the old Heal version doesn't have the same kind of stamina. (I like it better though: it's funnier. Faster burst healing and faster gain)

Checked some of them out, and reason why this is so good is obvious:
OP cards are OP

Really, Fire has one of the best CC and PC. Fire shield ? Are they serious ? Damaging ALL
creatures that ever will hit the field. Totally OP - same goes to Sanctuary's stacking heal
effect. Using it in my rainbow control deck two times because of his OPness, too
Won't say anything about miracle, that's really obvious.

But, i don't think its such of a deal, it's a control deck without hourglass. Thats its weakness,
at least rainbow decks have a good chance against it. They run the necessary PC (steal, deflag)
and are faster in drawing cards trough hourglass.

So to counter this deck IMO you just have to run more PC, its overall good anyways. The only Problem is that some Elements just dont have good options for PC, which is unfair, because Pc is very powerful in this game as long as you dont play stupid "i just get much damage on the field and roxxxorrz this game!!11!!".

Does the six dimensional shield firebolt OTK count as firestall?

No. That deck is called Sudden Killer, and isn't a PvP deck. It's used for farming FG's. It's a thousand times easier to counter than the Firestalls.

It also won't work after the next rebalance due to the 50 quanta limit.

We're at 75 cap right now, which does enable it for PvP. Not for FG's, however.

I find that championship matches are rock/paper/scissors anyway. I may not have played one for a while, but I think everyone agrees that very little skill factors into actual fights. The current pvp meta is predicting what deck your opponent will use and finding an appropriate counter.

The only thing that firestall has over the current meta is the predisposition of the playerbase towards speed rainbows and cremation-based speed decks.
