Is it just me or is the OP subjectively picking the "best" colours for representing an Element?

Shouldn't there be a way to include community say?

If the idea is to use these colors on the forums, then you should probably make :fire and :water a bit lighter because those two colors, especially blue, don't not play nice with grey background.

The set I have memorized uses chocolate and mediumpurple along with:
skyblue for air | comp: lightskyblue
crimson for fire | comp: orange red
dodgerblue for water | comp: royalblue

Would be very nice to expand this topic to have alternatives for all elements, such as orangered/crimson and royal/dodger, as both of those have different flavors - for example an old project of mine was slated to use lightyellow for Light, in a situation where white isn't ideal.

I almost went for skyblue and dodgerblue, but they didn't match up as well with the colors in the table. I like dogerblue more, I could go either way between skyblue and lightskyblue. As for Fire, I think crimson is not nearly as good a fit as orangered. A fire is never as bloody red as crimson, it has licks of yellow and orange, making orangered a better fit.

I modified my earlier table to include the alternatives you mentioned. I also added dimgray for Darkness when using the colors on a black background. It's the darkest gray available.

I added some choices for the colors to the "Change Color" dropdown when creating/editing a post/reply. These can still be discussed and changed.

Maybe ivory is a better choice than lightyellow for Light when on white backgrounds? Also, how about wheat for Other?

Elements Mafia 7X

Difference between failed and nullified abilities:
  • Failed abilities count as not being used. Nullified abilities still happen, but with no effect.
  • A failed ability cannot be seen by others.
  • Failed abilities are normally refunded, nullified abilities are not.


Mafia-Only Abilities

Sundial [NU]: Name two players. Those players appear as innocent tonight.
This ability does not target. N is the number of Elemental Graviton Firemasters.

Shard of Wisdom [1U]: All players become Silenced for the next day. The day ends when majority is reached.

Secondary Roles

All Secondary abilities are activated by PMing your action to the host during the Night phase. Each night, only one ability can be used, including mafia-only abilities (except NK).

Information Roles

Graviton Firemaster
  • Shard of Bravery [3U]: Learn target player's primary role. Reveal your name to him.
  • Catapult [1U]: Give Catapult [1U] and any number of other abilities you own to target player. You lose these abilities.

Precognition [ER]: See who your target visits and who visited your target.


Offensive Roles

Arctic Squid
  • Freeze [ER]: Nullify all abilities of your target for one night. Your target becomes Frozen for this and the next night.
  • Cloak [Passive]: You can vote invisibly through the host. Your vote will be placed at EoD. You can change your vote right after EoD. You are immune to effects that prevent you from changing your vote.

Deja Vu
  • Parallel Universe [EoR]: Target two players. If they both have a faction different than yours, kill one of them and yourself.
  • Shard of Readiness [2U]: Give +1 use to target player's limited ability. If your target does not have such ability, your ability fails.


Protective Roles

Armagio
  • Shard of Focus [1U]: Name an ability except Catapult. If any ability with that name is activated, it targets you tonight. This effect is publicly revealed next day.
  • Gravity Pull [1U]: Attract the NK tonight.

Holy Cow!
  • Sanctuary [EoR]: Offer your juicy milk to protect your target from death tonight. You cannot target the same person twice in a row.
  • Relic [1U]: Intercept target player's night results and replace them with "Moo!".

Shard of Sacrifice [ER]: Protect the target from any harmful ability tonight and give him Inverted status. You cannot target this player again.
A Shard of Sacrifice and a Holy Cow! cannot both be False Gods.


Other Roles

Phase Spider
  • Silence [EoR, 2U]: Target no less than two players. They become Silenced for the next day phase.
  • Shockwave [E(5-N)R]: Target between 1 and 3 players (N). You learn what roles your targets have as a group. You can use one of the seen roles next night.

Toadfish
  • Purify [EoR]: Removes the Inverted status of your target.

Lava Golem
  • Shard Golem [ER]: You can attempt to send messages to target player and any player who you have previously targeted, but only through the host. If they have a Shard ability, they receive your message at the end of the current phase. All False Gods have a Shard ability until they consume Shard of Wisdom. You remain anonymous. You can only select a new target during the night.
  • Immolation [1U]: Kill a shard who you have successfully targeted before. If your target is not a shard, he does not die and this ability is consumed.

Fallen Elf
  • Mutation [ER]: Change the role of target player. All his previous abilities are lost. If this ability is nullified, you change the role of the player who nullified you.
  • Shard of Serendipity [ER]: Check your target's secondary role. You can only get one of the following results:
