The coin toss is kind of sneaky.
I've been trying to find out about desyncs lately, and as a result I have been playing against myself by opening 2 windows and pvp dueling.
And I noticed-
Every time so far, the person who entered the game first has lost the coin toss.
And I realized there's a reason for this.
When negotiating a pvp duel, because of connection inconsistencies, the screens are slightly out of sync.
So one person always enters the game before the other.
The "Coin Toss" is a way to prevent one player from starting to play and passing their turn information to the other player before they've actually entered the game room.
If the person who entered first always loses the coin toss, then that way the game never start before both players are in the game room.
So next time you play a pvp game, wait out the whole timer instead of clicking start game, and if I'm right, you will most likely go first.
This doesn't work on AIs ofc.
Note that this is unconfirmed, but I believe it to be correct.
EDIT: then again, maybe not. I'll test it for a while though.
