Lets say instead of where you element symbol usually goes when your fighting someone, there is a picture of your elemental wielding whatever weapon or shield you gave him and if you hover your mouse over the picture it enlarges.

all the different elemental's will look different ex. darkness would have this shadowy guys with glowing red eyes while entropy would be a horrible looking thing.

you would also be able to give it clothes made out of "monsters and such"
ex.

firey robe-

24 rage potions
1 red nymph
10 crimson dragons

the reason why its so expensive is because, its like upgrading cards. if everybody had one it would ruin the fun.
there could also be cheaper ones such as-

leaf headband-

1- thorn carapace
5- rustler

the main reason i posted this idea was so that you would actually be playing as an elemental and could see yourself.
also so that players would have more of a social status other than just a point total.

thank you for considering this idea.

any suggestions?

1) Reminds me of RPG's.
2) I'm not sure I want to waste stuff just go get a cosmetic bonus.
3) It widens the gap between old players and new players.

And besides, we don't even have in-game avatars yet, and we probably never will, since it's completely unnecessary unless Zanz decides to turn this into an RPG (which probably won't happen, either).

I like it! anything that personalizes a player & his/her deck or gameplay will add fun and variety and also create more long-term goals, although it would take a lot of time to be programmed with all the different costs, equipments, etc. but except for that - thumbs up =)

as for the RPG-argument .. yeah, well, it does. but then, I'd risk saying that a lot of us fantasy-cardgame players wouldn't mind a little RPG-personalization, even just in visual terms of some avatar showing on mouseover while they're playing. =)

Except most players wouldn't even care, as they'll be busy playing. Not only will this put an absolutely unnecessary task on Zanz's to-do list, but it may also put strain on the servers.

you might have a point there, yes. it doesn't improve gameplay, which should have highest priority of course.

(still, I liked the idea.  :P but yeah, it doesn't really fit into the game)

This might spark some ideas.
Thanks a lot to Hyroen, a cool post from zanz in old flashkit forum was found. link (http://board.flashkit.com/board/showpost.php?p=4180199&postcount=454).
Look at point #3. Though I won't put the hope high because it was a really, really old post.

Hehe. I would actually absolutely love this, as long as it wouldn't make too much a difference. Stuff like dodging damage when we already have shields that do that wouldn't fit, but something weak like letting a Life elemental gain a little more HP from Heals when equipped with something could work. Mostly though, it would be about personalisation and aesthetics. It'd make the game even more addictive. *_*

Nothing at all 132jh. In the end it all ends up being a battle of personal preference, but right now I'm inclined to be dissuaded by the amount of work this would cost Zanzarino.

He did however have an idea to possibly make Elements RPG-esque that was posted* in the Flashkit Forums on June 16, 2009. It's an interesting concept and one that I'm sure would please many, but many would also be against, saying it would go against the common styles of CCGs.

I'd be all for personalizing things. For one thing, I know the game "Vertical Drop Heroes (http://www.kongregate.com/games/nerdook/vertical-drop-heroes)" by nerdook, also hosted on Kongregate (which happens to host Elements the Game as well) had me hooked as I tried and succeeded in collecting all the different costumes for each Class. It was quite a fun challenge and one that resulted in a constant stream of fun.

If Zanzarino has the time to work on this idea, and really plans on making it come true, I'm all for it. But I'm sure he's tactful enough to see through it that the opinions of the community in regards to this possible path are listened to. After understanding what the large community of Elements the Game wants, he'd act accordingly.

This is by no means shooting down your idea in any manner, but I can tell you this. If Zanzarino plans on integrating RPG elements into (ahem) Elements the Game, it will be quite a long time before then. We all see how long it takes for 8 new cards to be produced, tested and balanced. This concept, if put into play might not be a game breaking one, but will definitely require the delicacy to handle such an intricate project.

*Zanzarino quote found HERE (http://board.flashkit.com/board/showpost.php?p=4180199&postcount=454). Look at point 3. Also linked by suxerz, thank you.
