(Nearly) No Bazaar Challenge

I'm new to this thread, so apologies if it's already been discussed, but it occurs to me that if you really want a challenge, you could restrict yourself from upgrading cards.  It seems to me that an unupped deck should be able to win upped cards from Level 4.  Not very quickly, but then isn't that kind of the point?

Ability to upgrade cards gives you the ability to progress through the game in a normal way. If you can't upgrade cards, you can't win against FGs, or Platinum. Not being able to upgrade cards makes the challenge quicker, not slower, because your end-game is hampered so much that it makes it sort of pointless.

No, that's not true.  You can win against AI4 with unupped decks, and AI4 can spin you upped cards.  It will take you longer to go from an unupped deck which can beat AI4 to an upped deck that can beat False Gods or Gold/Platinum (and there is a debate to be had over whether Gold or Platinum is actually more profitable), but it's completely possible.

Besides, isn't the entire premise of this thread progressing through the game in a way that's not the normal way?  If it were the normal way, then you could use the Bazaar, just like everybody else.

I believe the reason to give players the option to upgrade their cards was because it's a bit too hard to make the jump from unupped/semi-upped to FG/Plat grinder with just random scraps from AI4. Maybe you could try the added challenge and post results?

Fun fact, as soon as you slimline your deck, you can grind Bronze since there are so many 1 HP decks.

Bronze/Silver/Gold may be farmed, but:

No spinning from 1hp decks
No special spins

Updating as I see fit. The old NBC account wasn't fun to play with anymore.
