Too many phase shields D:< https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=7590.msg84512#msg84512

I think Gemini was given too many phase shields. It's not really fair to give a false god enough phase shields to stop damage for the entire duel. He played his first shield around his 5th or 6th turn, and chained them all the way to the end. Sometimes I get lucky and he can't chain them for a turn or two, and I kill him (it takes me 2-3 turns to kill him) but since he usually gets an electrocuter out fairly early, I have to play many rays of light in order to keep my shield up and not deck out, so I can't play enough dragons to kill him in one turn.

Can his number of phase shields be reduced so that he can't chain them for the whole match? This makes most decks without permanent control fail against him 90% of the time.

Otherwise, can somebody give me a suggestion of how to deal with him with my RoL Fractal Hope deck?

Never seen him do that before, must be a freak occurrence.  Make your deck larger to avoid decking out, and maybe some Twin Universes to parallel his momentum'd dragons?  Use those in place of your Light Dragons, and once you've copied one you can copy your own, so lobo any momentum off his.

use a fallen elf, get a critter with steal and watch his shields become your shields.

I use a RoL-Fractal-Hope deck. It's a glass cannon at the moment. Many of the games I win come down to having literally exactly enough quanta to cast a particular card at the last moment.
There's no way at all I could put a fallen elf in there, and steals are pretty much impossible (it barely works, but does very well, as a duo right now). I've tried PUs, but any cards I can't immediately cast clog up my hand, and adding any more cards I can't play right away would screw up the deck's balance. I've played gemini 5 times now, and 1 of those 5 times he didn't play a shield right after the previous, 1 of the times he had a bad starting hand and I basically rushed him, he only played one shield out of desperation, and the other 3 times he decked me out (my deck's 34 cards, any more would screw it up).

I think the best way to balance the false gods is modifying their playing strategies. Making them not do really smart things all the time, and making them occasionally give you a better chance to win.

Look dude, no deck is going to be able to beat every single god.  It's not fair to expect one too.  If Gemini beats you every time, then he beats you every time, but that's just the luck of it.

I'VE GOT THE PERFECT SOULUTION... get another deck with perm control or what killsdazombies said i always ( almost 80% of times) get mutations with steal or destroy. if your not satisfied with that RoL-Hope deck use another

I don't expect my deck to win against every single god. It can't win against octane, for example. I know that's just the luck of it. I was just checking if anybody else wished he didn't have enough shields to let him draw enough to deck you out so often.

I'm satisfied with it, It just seemed unfair that he had enough shields to draw 6-8 every game, though maybe I just got really unlucky and he drew them all or almost all of them coincidentally in so many games against me.

Going with your current strategy, I think swapping out your Dragons for Twin Universes, and making sure you have 1-2 Electrocutors would be the best bet.  Fits with your deck concept, although makes it even more aether-heavy.  If you try it, let me know if it worked!

I tried it, and it failed pretty hard. I have 2 dragons and 3 electrocuters, which are needed fairly early against something like half the gods, and on the first or second turn against Fire queen and osiris, at least, 4 hopes, 6 RoL, and 4 fractal, to give as high a chance as possible to draw a hope, RoL, and fractal as early as possible without completely clogging up my hand (so fractal still works). so far it's worked well.

The problem with PU is that against an enemy that never plays any aether or light creatures, I can't mount enough attack to defeat them. Any god with miracles is much harder without the ability to rush 6-8 dragons in one turn. Good idea, but the dragons are extremely important, since I can generate a LOT of light quanta and play a bunch of dragons at once. Also, being able to play as many dragons as I want lets me get EM a lot of the time by damaging my opponent to just below death, healing, and then finishing with the elctrocuter. With PU, I wouldn't have that ability a lot of the time.

I meant this as a strat against Gemini in particular, which was what your OP asked about.  Specifically PUing his momentum'd dragons to counter his phase shields.  Sounds like you thought I meant to use this against FGs in general...

Personally, I skip Gemini with that deck.  I also skip others people say are "easy" or beatable: Ferox and Rainbow.
Include that with Eternal Phoenix, Octane, Graviton, and Hermes, and thats 7/24 auto-quits.

Its just automatic for me and saves me a lot of time.  And I still make bank.   8)

Octane and hermes are auto-quits to me. The game's over as soon as he drops a fireshield. I persevered a few times just to get a screencap of me beating him (fractaled a photon on my second turn, built up enough light quanta to play 6 dragons and beat him down just before dying) and octane is pretty obvious. I tried a reflective shield, but octane actually fired teh spell anyway, it reflected, but killed all my RoL. This happened again, so he's completely unbeatable.
