Remake the game?

I'm in a amateur dev team, and we're currently looking for work. I was thinking about remaking this wonderful game from scratch. Like making it standalone, and not browser based. Giving it new art, new music and efx. Maybe some animations and generally improving this game, giving it more players and maybe even the opportunity to compete with hearthstone. I love this game, and i think this game really is much better than hearthstone. If we started over we could get the players on our side too.

Sadly, im just the composer. So i'm really helpless without the rest of my team. Is there anyone else who is interested in game design? We could rebuild this game together, if we try. I just think it would be so much more fun for everyone.

the bad thing would be that it might turn players away from this game...

imo, make a standalone game with the inspiration of etg, but completely different. like, different cards, quanta generation methods, damage sources, maybe include a storyline etc. of course, on the download page (im assuming this is a downloadable game), include a link to here and maybe the official etg page.

i do support this, but i would only be able to help as far as ideas.

Yeah, a new game shouldn't replace this one.
If we were to make a game inspired by etg i feel we need some kind of permission.
Dunno who to talk to about that ...

My first thought: How about no?
really, I love the game perfectly as it is. The art is amazing, and the music too. And there is new stuff in development as well, it's not like this game is "finished" already.

I think any game that somebody could make of elements, would be just another copy, and nothing I would ever play. There would be just too many things that I would be missing, the whole "flavour" of the game that makes me "feel home"

Reading your post, this is not really what you were looking for (yet,but can be made so), but serprex have already made a remake of Elements: openEtg. It does not have better graphics or music, and is still browserbased, but it has more cards, more frequent updates, open-source, better balance (is the aim at least), better AI (In most cases at least I think).

If you want to help develop it, just check it out. Better UI and music would be amazing if you want to help with it.
