What is cracking me up is how noticible .023 seconds is!! Meh thinks we have been bitten by the grind bug in a bad way ;) :D

As Zanz stated in the 1.25 update thread, the delay is there to prevent fast-click exploits and bugs. Obviously it REALLY stinks to use skills now, but maybe in the near future Zanz will have a caffeine-induced epiphany like he always does and will find a way to fix it so we can revert to fast play again. :)

I will never forget that day.  He was making genius ideas left and right.

Anyway, after reading the new forum post Zanz made, I understand why he made the delay.  I may not like it, but I will take it like a man.   :)

Yep, looks like we are stuck with the delay for the time being.  I guess time to win has now became a bigger deal testing decks

Yep, number of clicks per turn affects time to win, big time. I'm ditching the golem rush I was using for the past couple of days for this very reason. I'm just plain tired of waiting to grow my golems.

Actually yes, lol.  CB! sent me an application that counts time, clicks and turns for a game.  When I start my time to win study eventually, I will use this software

I ditched Glitch's trial winning deck for the same reason, rustler is just a pain in the butt to use now.

A small suggestion: maybe add this delay just to games the bug would really be exploited. I mean: FG and PvP. Removing a bug is not really being exploited in games vs AI3 (we win anyway with fast decks) doesnt seem a good deal. This way the cure is worse than the sick.

Edit: In fact, we also dont defeat HB with rush decks, but they are already being not played for most people, and the % of getting an upgraded card is close to 0. So, I think there is no need to keep the delay in HB games.

I don't think there is a need to count clicks. Even though it might give more accurate results when combined with turns to win, it's time to win that is clearly the best and most important piece of data.

Your average grinder doesn't care how many clicks it takes, he only cares how long it takes. Sure those two go hand in hand, but some clicks take longer than others so counting clicks gives misleading data. For example I can click (play) 10 Pillars in the time it takes to play 1 Precognition. If these clicks are both counted as "1", it won't give any useful data.

Only situation where counting clicks would be useful is if a person want a physically less demanding deck. But there's so little clicking in Elements that I don't think most people mind a few extra clicks.

Stopwatch is hands down the best way to determine the overall real-time speed of a deck.
