once there was the idea, of changing graboids ability from  :time to  :time :time, but it never happened. thats good, but i think its still overpowered, exspecially upgraded version (and then shrieker and not graboid), so, why not change it from 10/4 to 10/3, it will be vulnerable to far more spells (rain of fire, bolts, etc) and it will still have its attackpower.

as master of fire, my element could deal with shriekers much easier that way ;)

Another idea back then was to increase only the Elite Graboid's ability cost (since Elite Shriekers are much stronger than regular ones). That sounds better to me, though I still don't know if it's necessary.

Shriekers aren't overpoewered, they're overused. Since a shrieker deck is fast and effective for AI3/T50/some PVP most new players go with it.

Whip out a Fire Shield and watch them burn to death. Add one little blast of fire and they're no bother to fire.

a single shrieker does upgraded 40 damage, before destroyed by fireshield. i dont think shield is great to counter shriekers, and shriekers need 2 fast bolts (with there healt of 4) to kill, with 3 it would be much easier to deal with.

Antagon, this is very greedy of you. Just because fire has problems with shriekers, you want it nerfed. Air can take out shriekers, aether can take out shriekers.  You're not going to be able to take out everything. Let's not forget fire has deflag, other elements don't have a way to take out such things. (Grav/earth and Entropy being the only other ones aside from mutations.)  Should every element get their version of a deflag? What about a growth creature for aether?

Also, 2 RoF and 14 quanta can take out an entire field of shriekers. Other elements don't have the option of taking everything out. (Air does, but it isn't easy.)

Shriekers are fine, I think. The problem to me is, the graboid cost is very very low. 3 quanta for an untargetable creature that can turn into a 10/4? I would change graboid cost to 4, at least.

no, if you read my initial posting carefully, you will see, i responde to the - in the past thought of - nerve-idea of graboids (with 2 :time cost for the ability), and i think THAT would be far too much, but there must be a reason, that it was thought of such a nerve.

i just had an idea, how to change it and still let it be a very powerful card.

If you have trouble dealing with shriekers with fire you aren't using fire's best control card: rage elixir.

And I, too, think they are just fine. They're strong, but need two different types of quanta and there's a turn delay to prepare for a shrieker.

I honestly think they're OP (Graboids, not Shriekers) but then again, I think quote a few cards are OP, and I don't think they'll ever see change either. There will always be a best.
