Hey, would anybody else prefer to see Metamorphosis be free? I like to switch between decks every few games, and I kinda hate being charged 100 gold each time... just a thought.

Agree.

Also I'd go as far as to say that the game allows very little room for changing decks. It costs too much electrum (gold) ... nearly 1000 to build a secondary 30 card deck (a dragon costs 109!)

If the selling abdbuying prices for regular bazaar cards were equal, then it would be easy, I'd sell all my ather deck including upgrades (but not rare cards), then I'd rebuy them all in a different color. THEN the game would be fun, I would be able to experience the game fully instead of being locked in the set I'm currently trying to improve.

It should be free till your have a certain amount of points to let new people try out different element types and decided on the one they want.

But i think there is a reason why it cost so much to change.

Mh... 100 gold for changing the mark is no big deal, I think. It's a fair price.
I'm also a multiple deck-player and like switching around cos it would be too boring using just one deck in x thousand games. But gaining 100 gold to be able to switch the own mark again is really easy... so I see no need for making it free.

Better would be the idea of Klingzog :]

I too think it should be free for new players - perhaps up until you finish the quest line, so 500 points?

After that, perhaps we should be allowed to buy marks for a large sum (1000 gold?) and then be able to change to that whenever we want.

Considering holding on to cards won on the Slot Wheel and only sell them once the group has reached its playable max of 6 cards. After some 1600 games I have about 1/4 of the cards completely maxed out so far and more than half of the remainder getting close to max ...

Of course, that crazy WARNING sign that pops up when I go to sell my extra Miracle cards tends to stop me each time so I do have a few extras of those ...

I completed all the quest with my first plays before even considering the first switch.
I thnk that this limit is too low.

And I still don't get why I have to pay to switch decks. Other card games want you to build more decks and this one is actively discouraging you from doing so.

What is the reason that it is not free? I can't see any.
Experienced players have better ways to get rid of their money and new ones have to buy new cards. So I really don't see a reason why it is not free...

then i expect your experimental deck wouldn't be too fruitful anyways :\
Yea, you THINK that. But the noob want's to TRY it.
And maybe when he is loosing he sees WHY the deck is bad. And sees way of improving it.
That IS what is called experimentng. Experimenting is not builiding a perfect deck with the first try!

Nobody gave a good reason for the fee yet.
There has to be a fee because there was always a fee. I hope you are not that inflexible in reallife.
Give good reasons and I'll shut up

You guys are way to whiney about this "waaaah there is a 100 coin fee to switch decks."
I have absolutley no opinion about the 100 coins beeing to high or too low.
All I ask for is a good reason.

Also, to get away from deck experimentation itself, when you already have a few decks that have different purposes (e.g. coin farming, pvp, false gods, card farming) then most likely you need to switch between marks to use the different decks.
And why do I have to pay to switch a deck? Card games are about cards and about decks? And about different decks.
I never ever played a card game where you were discouraged from playing a different deck.
Paying for cars: sure. But for changing the deck... I don't get it.

Zanz has said before that the reason for the fess is that he'd like players to stick with one element for at least awhile

How about just making one day a week "Metamorphosis Day" -- like Sundays? For 24 hours, you can change your element as often as you want for free, but when Monday rolls around, it's back to paying for it for the week...
