False God Realms
The biggest problem with designing anti-FG decks is that there are 24 different False Gods, each with their strengths and weaknesses. If you want to build a deck that can potentially beat them all, you have to go with a rainbow deck, and use the same cards everyone is using.

What I propose is that Those 24 False Gods are divided into 4 Realms.

Realm of Creation
- Total of 6 False Gods from :light :water :life

Realm of Order
- Total of 6 False Gods from :earth :gravity :time

Realm of Diversion
- Total of 6 False Gods from :aether :air :entropy

Realm of Destruction
- Total of 6 False Gods from :darkness :death :fire

When you click the "Level 6" button, you will be taken into a "Realm Page" that has all the 4 Realms listed. You can then choose one of these 4 and your opponent will be randomly determined from that 6 FGs' that are living in that realm.

What are the advantages of this system?

- Players are not forced to build super-well-rounded rainbow decks. Instead they can build decks that are designed for one specific Realm only
- Number of FG's per Realm could be increased (for example to 9) giving us more FG's to fight -> more fun
- Different Realms could have different "special prizes" that you can win in the slots

I like and dislike it.

Pros:
People tend to build decks (like RoL/Hope) that can kill about 50% of the FGs, and just quit if they don't get one of the ones they want.  So the players are already doing something like this.  False God Realms would make the game more fun for most of the people who fight False Gods (not having to quit so much).

Cons:
Fighting False Gods would become easier.  (But I think PvP is the main challenge of the game anyways)

I sorta agree with Toimu at the outset- there might be a bit of an abuse of FG grinding, but the more I think of it the more I like the idea.

First, I think everyone would agree, that if implemented, there would be those that would focus on making decks to beat certain realms. Once a deck is posted that wins a large % of the time against any one realm, the other three realms would be virtual ghost towns as far as FG grinding goes. So the addition of more FGs to each would help balance that out a bit, but I suspect people focusing on one FG realm would still be in vogue.

Thus giving people a reason to play all the realms would be in order. Off the top of my head, maybe add a new quest in where players must beat one FG from every realm to get a prize of some sort or beating 10 FGs from every realm each day gets something shiny for the player successfully doing so.

In any event, I think the idea has merit and should be pursued. I doubt SG would have suggested it if she ddin't think it would work, given the knowledge and history she has here ;)

Maybe you could choose an option to fight ANY False God for a slightly higher reward as well.

I love this idea. It could be implemented relatively painlessly for Zanz, and would make the game a helluva lot more fun. Ideas:

NOTE: Numbers are just approximations, the idea's the important thing.
-Elements tracks how many wins you have for each realm. When you accumulate ten in all four realms, you win a random upgraded rare chosen from the realm of your choice, after which the tally resets (it doesn't matter how many wins you rack up in one realm, only that it's 10+). This will encourage people to fight in all the realms, and make people that just focus on one and get a slightly higher win rate overall miss out.

-Once you accumulate 50 (or 100, or more) wins in all four realms, you get to face a random false god. If you beat him/her, you win a superspecialultramegasecret high-cost, high-power rare. Each time you face this special false god (randomly chosen from all of them) and win, the game records this, and you will never face that god again in this manner. Once you defeat all of them (you'd have to rack up 4800 wins in total, plus extra if you don't get to exactly 50 or 100 or whatever the quota is in each realm at a time), you get some bonus/prize, such as being allowed to fight false gods for free, or getting a 33% extra chance to spin the slots a bonus time every time you win, etc.

-Once you defeat all of the false gods in a particular realm a certain amount of times (~10), you unlock a new false god in that realm which will pop up a small percentage of the time (~5%) and will be super-hard but also carry a much higher reward (bonus electrum, spins, guaranteed cards, that sort of thing) if you win. He'll be much more difficult (draw 3 cards per turn, start with cards on the field, must be defeated twice in a row to be truly defeated, the second time starting with 100 HP, etc.) but defeating all of these bosses unlocks a super-ultra-difficult super-boss, or something like that.

Anyway, those were my ideas on the subject, clearly some of them better than others (lol), I'll close by saying I really love the idea, think it will make the game much more fun (not to mention bearable - I can't farm for more than an hour before getting sick of the monotony of having no idea if I'll win just because my deck is built to have as high an overall-winning-percentage as possible, and so isn't particularly good against almost any one false god) for everyone, and am keeping my fingers crossed.

This idea would work if they made atleast 50% of realm easy and the rest hard. If one set of realm has all easy FG's everyone would farm those and nothing else.

@7: I looked it over, and I can easily think of false gods in all four realms that would be difficult, at least in the perspective that they're already hard, and additionally have very different strategies/pose different threats, and therefore can't be defeated by a single deck without a fair bit of luck.

i like this idea...it'd have to be VERY carefully implemented though. it would make things easier but that just means the decks could be adjusted to be harder themselves! for example seism could have more graboids, the AI could be improved more without making things too difficult, etc.
also, there should be a fight random god option for twice the money reward? or another benefit. special rewards could get tricky...a better chance of getting normal rewards would work better. maybe every time you beat each god or one in each realm you get to fight a super-god where its really hard but you get a guarantee of a certain amount of upped cards
there should be a quest to beat one in each realm then all gods...but quests arent what keep people coming back so its not the important part.

actually finkel that brings up something else...we have to diversify the gods in each realm some or itd be too easy to kill them with a specific deck...but if they were too diversified then people would just pick the easiest realm for the deck they were using

This reminds me of Zelda somehow...

I like the idea. Also like the ideas of a realm master type of FG you get to fight only if you beat the other or in something other circumstance and I like basing the rewards on the realm. It would be kind of like an rpg where you pick up things from opponents you defeat.

I think it would be cool if each realm had a different background while you played. Maybe certain cards could be banned from a realm?

The whole idea makes me think of the world of elements (which i never really read because I don't have time) but it would make it seem like in general we all reside in a town for players/humanoids/elemental users and we venture out into different parts of the elements universe, fight, win and come back.

Here is another idea. In each realm you would not choose what level you fight but it would be random. Maybe you have to beat a level 5 (who has better reward than currently) before you fight level 6. Also, maybe your health could somehow be saved from match to match. So I fight seism, win with 78 hp, then I have a choice to leave the realm with my winnings or keep fighting for a better reward. Say I then play Dark Matter and die, I would lose all my winnings and restart "in town" so to speak...

Just some ideas...

I love this idea. I think you could have more diversity in anti-FG decks, -> more interesting-> more fun.

To overcome some of the problems pointed out, what if instead of being able to pick a realm, the FG is still chosen at random, but you can find out which realm it's from. (maybe automatically, maybe at a higher price)

This doesn't give to much a way, still keeps FGs difficult, but also allows for more interesting decks. ( I mean that as "more [interesting decks]", not as "[more interesting] decks", but I suppose both are true.

Or maybe choosing a realm could cost like 5 times the price of challenging a FG. (I can't figure out a reward system for this suggestion that doesn't get abused.)

I think this is an amazing idea. While I understand the usefulness of rainbow decks, I personally don't think they should be more successful than mono or duo decks at beating the most powerful AI. This idea does exactly that! ;D

Would this be about how the FGs would be placed into the realms?

Creation:
Divine Glory :light :fire :air
Elidnis :water :aether :life
Ferox :life :light
Miracle :light :life :air
Neptune :water :air
Scorpio :water :death :aether

Order:
Dark Matter :gravity :light
Graviton :gravity :fire
Obliterator :earth :gravity
Osiris :time :gravity
Paradox :light :aether :time
Seism :earth :time

Diversion:
Chaos Lord :entropy :light
Destiny :entropy :time
Dream Catcher :entropy rainbow
Fire Queen :air :light :fire
Gemini :aether :gravity
Octane :air :fire

Destruction:
Decay :darkness :aether
Eternal Phoenix :fire :aether
Hermes :fire :earth
Incarnate :darkness :death
Morte :death :light
Rainbow  :time rainbow

EDIT: Another idea I had was to make 3 realms: Material (:water :fire :earth :air), Spiritual (:light :darkness :life :death), and Cardinal (:gravity :entropy :time :aether)
