Oo, yes that would be good. Being able to upgrade your mark only if you use one color... Probably for more than the 100 required in metamorphosis.

Over chat, Kraze gave me a great idea.

He put that since this game is called elements, it should promote ever individual type, but instead it does so with rainbow decks. To fix this, he suggested that mono decks should get 2 quantum per turn. To make it more conditional, how about having it so that it can tell if you're mono IF your mark is the color of your pillar/towers, and if it is, the pillars/towers produce 2 per turn. Now rainbow decks could probably take advantage of this too, but I think this would give mono decks a headstart :]

Edit: Though this would probably give newbies an easier start.

Honestly, having pillars give 2 quantum seems a little bit too powerful. I do think going Mono-colour could use a bit of a boost, so how about something like this:

Mark of Focused Fire (or Dark, or Earth, etc.)
Generates 3 Fire quantum at the end of each turn. You may only include Fire cards in your deck.

I think that could be just what would be needed to make mono-decks more attractive.

I think card type restrictions are really the way. Either having your mark/pillars generate more quanta if you're pure, of maybe making each element have a super-card that requires a pure deck...

If you don't make such kind of restriction, people will incorporate any card changes into the rainbow decks

i agree. but 3 may also prove to be too powerful aswell. so it could be only 2 not 3. the mark thing, not the pillar/tower thing.

Or you could just make more cards for that particular element and not require them to use quantums from other elements to activate their effect. Chrysaora, Anubis, Trident, Pulverizer and many, many more are guilty of that, which is why the game currently favours Rainbow decks above any other deck-types.

I say get rid of those multi-element requirement, and make more card abilities based on their natural quantums. No point using Trident in a pure Water deck when Trident forces you to commit yourself to Earth quantums to make it viable.
dont get rid of the rainbow cards. nor should zenz nerf them. i agree witht he topic a little, but only the part about strengthening monodeck cards. rainbow decks are amazing and the best way to make it even is not to get rid of rainbow but rather make monodecks just as amazing. happy grinding^_^

Awesome idea, but 3 would be too powerful, maybe 2 is a good balance  :)

But it would be useless if you don't add a rule: to be a Focused Master, you CAN'T have ANY card in your deck that didn't belong to your element.  ;)
