I think this board is been updated as im typing this as this section of the game requests was not here a moment ago lol

Anyhow

Here's a suggestion i thought of while playing:

1: In the shop make some booster sets that you can buy for a set price and depending on how lucky you are you could get some good cards and some bad ones

Make three sets a bronze a silver and a gold, each pack contains 5 cards chosen at random.  Each type of pack simply increases the pool of cards you may be able to win.

Bronze is pillars and basic cards, silver is pillars basic and advanced cards, gold is pillars basic advanced and rares.

Sometimes the total cost of the cards in a pack might be more than the pack was bought for other times it could be really less.

One of the most exciting things about collectible card games in RL is the booster packs, if you bought them you know what I'm talking about the excitement of not knowing what is in the pack till you open it.  Did you get a bunch of small useless cards? or dragons?

That excitement is one thing that is almost missing from this game, the slots help though.

Sure keep the bazaar but maybe in the future some cards and not just rare ones can only be either won or bought in booster packs

The idea behind the packs is that sometimes you get a group of 5 cards that are worth more than the booster is worth other times you get less.

For example lets say a bronze booster is worth 200 gold and you get 5 average cards worth around 50 gold each then you get five random cards that are worth 250 gold

BUT you could also get 5 cards that are only worth around 20odd gold each so you would get 5 cards worth around 100 gold

its a gamble

Anyhow i think the ratio should be 60/30/10 %'s for the following Bazaar/Boosters/Won some cards should be buy able standalone, some should be found in boasters and some should be won.

Anyhow just an idea to include the excitement of boosters in the game.

I think this is definitely a good idea and would make it a lot more like a RL card game. It would also be a good way to introduce new cards. Imagine the surprise when you buy a booster pack, only to be faced with a completely new card - even if it's not a great card, it's still something nice to have.

How would they work? Would you be able to buy all entropy packs? Or would it be packs able to contain any element? Or perhaps booster packs containing a possible 2 types of elements which pair up (Aether/Time, Life/Death, Fire/Water, etc)?

I think if we went for packs made of just one element, you should only receive a small number of cards. It's pretty obvious what you might, so with such a low stock of cards, you should get a low amount in the pack. For packs containing any card, then these should be large packs (large array of cards to get, so a large pack to increase chances of something you want). Then follow the same rules for the 2 element packs, medium array of cards, medium pack size.

This has some merits and flaws to it.

For one, I'd have to ask if you'd keep the option to buy individual cards in the bazaar and you could only buy booster packs or if you could buy both individuals and boosters.

If you can only buy boosters, it would make it tough for new players who want to get only certain cards to make their deck good enough to get the electrum necessary to build better decks or decks with more variety.  But if you allow both, what's the point of buying boosters?  It's a bit of a catch-22.

What I would do is categorize the cards as Common, Uncommon, and Rare.  Each booster could have 1 rare, 3 uncommons, and 6 common random cards.  Maybe keep the low-powered cards as Common, the higher powered cards as Uncommon, and Upgraded cards as Rare.

I hate to say it, but booster packs are a horrible idea.
If the OP is using advanced cards as upgraded, then they would cost a ridiculous amount of money; using the bronze, silver, gold idea (with 5 cards in each):
Bronze - would cost a minimum of 100 coins for pretty bad cards that you may or may not find useful
Silver - would cost a minimum of 3500 coins for still chance cards
Gold - would cost probably 6000 couns, and ruin the fun of getting rares from games.

Terrible idea. No one would spend money for random cards when they cards specifically for their deck. Boosters would be cool, ONLY if there were hundreds of available cards, with the low card amount, you really need a lot of the same card for a solid strategy. This would only be wasting coins for a disappointing suprise, and would ruin the games semi-harsh economy even more, either in a surplus of rares, coins being literally wasted, or both.

Well we disagree on it, no point in arguing.

And i'm aware that '200' is hundreds, but 800 and 1400 is hundreds as well, 200 is an infinitesimally small amount of 100s, the smallest of them all as a matter of fact  ;)

I think they meant advanced cards like dragons, or other high coin price cards. I certainly would not like to see upgraded cards make their way into booster packs, even at an extremely low chance of obtaining one.
Still, the randomness of it makes it a waste of money, and time to make possible.

Which is why my take on the idea said to introduce cards through booster packs. That way you have a good amount of cards on the bazaar, but then the rarity of new cards from boosters.
Also, there already are 135 cards (I think), so we're not that far off hundreds ;)
Do you think that cards are not already being developed? They'll come out when they're wanted to come out, and making booster exclusive cards would make people angry. If they weren't booster exclusive, then there is no point in having them come out as booster cards.
135 isn't close to hundreds, 200 isn't even close to the amount which i mean.

Where did I say that? I'm pretty sure zanz has got loads of cards up his sleeves (I know, I'm terrible :D). However, I'm pretty sure they'll come out when they're ready, not when people want them. It takes time to do all the art, update all the necessary files.

booster exclusive cards would make people angry
Not necessarily. We've got rare cards and upgraded cards, but people aren't angry. Frustrated, perhaps, but that's all part of the game - you have to work at it to get them. Just like if there were booster exclusives, you just have to get lucky to get them (like winning a rare from the slots).

And at the risk of sounding flamey, 200 is hundreds. 100 is hundred, singular, 200 is hundreds, plural (because there are more than 1 lot of hundred). If you're not a natural English speaker, then I apologise, but I felt it best to point it out. Perhaps if you stated how many cards would be needed before this idea would be good, so that we can keep on topic and try and make this idea a reality?
