8th Elements CouncilIt's been quite a long while, huh? You may not know but we're currently at the 7th Elements Council, after the 6th one kinda fell into inactiveness. We've been fixing things a lot, but there's only so long you can go with a small council. As such, we're opening applications again, and to many of you who have asked for this more than once,
finally.
So since it's been so long, let's remind what the council has to do, at the minimum:
1. Appoint new staff members.
2. Come up with ways to improve our community.
3. Attempt to put these projects into action, preferably as a group.
This should go without saying, but please remember activity is pretty much a must, and honestly, if you're there to talk to people and everything else it just makes letting people know what the council is doing and what they can expect much easier. It also lets Administrators know if the current council is still active, and the community as a whole won't think everyone died out.

1. Joined the forums no less than 3 months ago.

3. Forming the Elements CouncilGiven the current size of Council, we're bringing back the Community Vote that we had previous to the 4th Elements Council. If you remember that, great! If you don't or weren't around, here's how it works:
I will compile the applications, put up a (hopefully!) large poll, and then make the apps publicly available in the main post. You will all then vote on the person you find better fit to enter council. Each person will have
10 votes, as the council is made of 12 people - this means two of our admins, plus ten people picked by the community. You are completely free to talk about who you voted on or why you voted on, but keep things
civil at any and all costs...
Or we'll do it for you.
4. Future of the Council* The 8th Council will hold office for 3 months. At that time, we will review the term period and make changes if necessary, which they probably will be.
* There will be no term limit for Council members.
We all saw what happened with last council and it took quite a bit to fix it - in fact, we're still fixing it as you can see in this thread. This is the end of what we, the "7th" Council, could do to help things get fixed. The 8th council - you - will still have things to work on, and things to do, and people to hire, and projects to think of and ensue. If you're active, apply. There's no requirement like having good GDocs experience or PvP experience. Help.
