Presumably Zilian's protection counts as a doctor skill, so if he has revealed himself, Katarina can disable that doctor skill and kill him anyway.
We only have 8 hours left to do a full roleclaim, distribute information and for him to protect himslef, as his list must be sent through in the next 8 hours.

By the way, whoever Zillian is, send a list of ALL the players in this mafia. It prevents a patching kill, and mafia will never target themselves, so your ability essentially just prevents the first patching kill, and allows you to set up a 2 man civvy central. Seeing as mafia will want that player dead anyway, they will likely be killed on the next patching phase kill. At that point (depending on the role usage), THAT player can reveal themselves, and we can do a mass roleclaim to them maybe?

A list of all players is actually a bad idea, becuase intentionally protecting a good player is better than accidently protecting a less experienced one.

The defense in my plan is not even an important part. After this night phase ends, you'll have around 4 real-life days while Zilean can't die, so even without Zilean being able to protect himself, my plan stands strong.

But if Zilian reveals himself, his power is useless and unused, because Katarina will be able to use a snipe and kill him before his ability gets proced.

That may be right, JCJ, but it's the best chance we have. Zilean is the only role in the game that is guaranteed to be blue, and even if he gets killed, we have a huge advantage through the roleclaim.

However, now that we are close to the end of the patch phase, we should wait for the playing phase. It is quite unlikely that everyone will check this topic until patch kill, and so we don't risk Zilean to die before we can set up the claim successfully. He can simply put himself on his list and will be very safe, as mafia has to snipe quite perfectly as long as he doesn't claim tonight.

Also, a thing that not many may have noticed: Nightkills will only happen every other patching phase (see How to play in the opening post). This will give us plenty of time for that plan.

Wait, really? These changes should have been written with HUGE, colored letters everywhere instead of hiding them in a spoiler of an old post. I didn't see this when the rules were first posted, so it must be part of the change.

EoR patchkills would turn the game heavily blue-sided. If I knew this earlier, I wouldn't have asked for further balancing. T-T

Playing Phase 1

Ginyu is Diamond 1, and just loaded in as Sion. He slowly lumbered to his first jungle camp, being sure to ping for help from bot lane. However, a minute in, a stun popped out of nowhere, and Sion was the only one caught in it. He was then slowly auto-attacked to death, as he brought teleport instead of flash, and with that, he was First Blood.

He forgot to ward.
