Hmm... Just thought of a question I want to check on.  Seems the answer should be obvious, but I'm gonna ask anyway.

With the Attack Actions patterns; you've said that the red squares indicate area of affect and the centre square refers to where you are.  Does that mean that you also sustain damage if the centre square is red?

If you mean that can a player damage himself, then the answer is no. You are safe to use your own attacks, however, if there is an opponent at the same tile as you and the center square is red, your opponent will be damaged by your action.

Organizer Note:

During the first round, I will try to correct everyone's mistakes and invalid moves without giving them the "5 HP damage per each invalid action" penalty.
Here are the most common mistakes people sent in so far:

• Using one action more than once in the same combo
• Moving diagonally

Here are the respective quotes from the rules:

Spoiler for Basic Actions:

• Move Left: moves the character 1 tile to the left
• Move Right: moves the character 1 tile to the right
• Move Up: moves the character 1 tile upwards
• Move Down: moves the character 1 tile downwards
• Energy Up: gain +15 energy
• Guard: reduce incoming damage by 15

• You cannot use the same action more than once in a combo.
• If you use an invalid action (move out of bounds, use an attack that you don't have the energy for, etc.) or you don't send in a full combo in time, you lose 5 HP per invalid actions (15 HP if no actions were sent in).

I hope this will clear up the confusion a bit. Have fun playing and don't forget to send in your actions in time!

Organizer Note:

At this point, half of the players already finished Round 1. Everyone who won captured a part of the Dragon Scepter, getting one step closer to the victory. These players also get to choose one of the following mystery cards:

*the MtG cards only serve as placeholder card art, because i didn't find any image to the back of EtG cards Credit for card image goes for Physsion
*some of the mystery cards share the same mystery action, leaving lower chance to find rarer ones

To choose a card, choose the letter under the card and declare your choice in a comment. After all winners chose, the cards will be flipped, making everybody see what they got, even the opponents.

Currently the following players can unlock the mystery cards for the following races:

ROUND 2 NOTES:

Since there is no elimination in this game, players can decide after each round if they don't wish to continue the event. If this happens, they will be replaced by Void in the brackets. If a player is matched up against Void, that means they won't be able to win any scepter parts that round, making it equal to a loss. Because of this, only players with the most scepter parts can be matched up with Void.
Void players can be replaced before each round by a new player, if they want to join the event (with the disadvantage of having all previous rounds counted as losses. This is only suggested for players who'd like to join just for fun). Previously left players can rejoin too.
After the Mystery Cards are chosen and revealed, players can decide if they want to change race or keep going with the same. If they change, they cannot use their mystery action they won in Round 1 as long as they don't switch back.
To choose a mystery card, leave the event or switch character, post in this thread. Leaving the event can also be done by notifying me in PM or in chat.

The brackets for Round 2 will be up as soon as all matches conclude. From Round 2, only people with maximum 1 mystery card difference can be matched up, unless someone agrees to a higher difference. Differences are needed, because if the winners are matched up only with each other, then they will get to the 4th part first, leaving absolutely 0 chance to those who lost at least once.
