It's pretty simple, just pick a number, start there, then go down. You have to use a random number generator (or just flip a coin lol) at each upside down V to see if you will go left or right. If you hit the wall there's only one direction you can take, which is away from the wall. Oh, and say what path you ended up taking.

Ya it seems like pretty much everyone will get a range of -1 to 1 from their starting location just because that's how 50/50 works... if yall can think of any way to improve it so there is more variability that would be swell lol...

How about this.  At the first split use 50/50.  Then on the next one if you get the same result as the last result you take it, otherwise you do it twice more and pick the 2 out of 3.  For example, say on the first split you go right.  Then on the next one if you get right again you go right.  If you get left, however, you redo it and use 2 out of 3 to make your choice.

This will somewhat account for the forward momentum you had from the last split, but still allow you to possibly change course.
