General discussion on the new totally rad forum stuff.

Notice:  Influence instead of karma.  This system is far superior (IMO).  I've seen it used on other forums.  You get influence for:  Having more posts, and being given influence from other users (much like karma).  However, users with more influence give more influence.  E.G, someone can't make one funny thread and get karma spammed by n0bz.

But, most importantly, the karma now comes with cool titles.  Anyone figure out what they all are?

I think negative karma has returned with this new reputation system; it's now possible to "disagree" with a post.

That has been disabled. If you don't believe me, feel free to test it out on this post. :) I should probably go do some custom editing and remove that option altogether. Makes little sense having it as an option if nobody can use it.

It should be based on number of posts and number of topics you started. 1 point for each post, 3 for each topic. So basically in its current form it's just a different way to show posting activity.

Later after we've added old Karma and used the rep system for a couple of months, it will become more accurate, because it's not only about posting anymore.

Sorry to have to tell you this but that is a bug. :)

You gained rep using the new system where you get one bar for each 500 points, I used the old system where you gain one for each 1000 points. I'll probably have to reset the whole thing to fix it. Not remove rep, just correct the numbers.

We should also probably change that 500 into something less difficult to obtain.
