Ok i know this is NOT a feature or something but i found no better place to post so i chose this place(as it's also probly checked daily or so). The bans are way too tough, as they are PERMANENT IP BANS and you CAN'T EVEN BROWSE the forums or make another account. How about warnings, temporary bans/mutes. Ok, some may deserve permanent mutes, but permanent IP bans is too much, imo.

We are going to have a system that looks something like this:

1st infraction = 1st warning
2nd infraction = 2nd warning
3rd infraction = 1 day ban
4th infraction = 7 day ban
5th infraction =  30 day ban
6th infraction = Permanent Ban

Major infraction = Permanent IP Ban

All decisions are final and there is no appeal system. Banned users are strictly forbidden to make new accounts for the sole purpose of asking why they were banned.

Also keep in mind that you will take steps back on this "warning ladder" every month you are not braking the rules.

An example:
- I brake the rules and get a 1st warning
- next day I brake the rules again and get a 2nd warning
- I don't brake the rules for 2 months and my "warning ladder" gets reset
- next week I brake the rules and get a 1st warning
- etc.

A regular user has nothing to worry about because I will personally make sure that no "innocent" person gets IP banned. That's only reserved for those individuals who have no interest becoming a part of this community and want to just act like an asshole because it's "fun" for them.

Haha, yes you are right :)

To everyone: please correct me if you see any errors like that. I'm not a native English speaker so mistakes like that are bound to happen. We need to get rid of all the grammar errors in forum names, navigation, rules, etc.

Being a spelling nazi is good if we are talking about "official" text. I don't want first time visitors to be greeted by "Hell-o! Welkome to teh Foruns!".

I'm not a native English speaker either (Chinese), but I'm a gramar Nazi nevertheless. its good to uze proper sbelin and gramor cuz its eazier to reed.

OK, SG. I really don't know if your misspelling was accident or sarcasm. My sarcasm detector broke yesterday, and I can't seem to find a new one.

What if  comes back? Does he still get a second chance?

EDIT: Damn... The name of that person is on the censored list, so the word won't show up...
