Ban anime avatars. https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=28459.msg363602#msg363602

Can we please ban all anime avatars? They're ugly as sin and I feel embarrassed for associating myself with a bunch of weeaboos. It'd help EtG seem more credible to just get rid of these abominations. Thanks!

They look ugly and make the community appear less sociable.  Can we please ban them so EtG doesn't come off as an embarrassing weeaboo game?

As an anime fan, I don't see what's wrong with them.

Posting the same thing in two different sections?  I would think you know better than this.

LOLOLOL cant help, the way you said it - is funny. NEED to be moved to the humors section.

Ok. I myself only read manga but...
Its not a good idea to boost your self-esteem by calling others weeaboos. Don't judge others based on how they look. My 5 :electrum as a psychologist.

Also don't create 2 threads for the same thing just because you secretly love the "senbonzakura" avatar.

p.s. since when sin is ugly? They are most natural and the closest thing of being human.

Yeah, he has a point.
It's like trying to look cool when all your group is wearing socks and sandals.

Still, I'll end up taking this thread as more of a joke than anything. Despite the fact that again, I agree wholeheartedly, the way it is phrased (full on ban) makes it seem slightly less serious. A more sensible solution would be to apply peer pressure.

I always do this.
I always expect people to judge me by how I look too. By how straight they stand, by how confident they look, by how they interact with everyone else.
And again, maybe you shouldn't judge, but of course, it's a lot to ask of the world to ignore your green, spiked hair, shaved from the ears down with no eyebrows and a beard would get caught on their fly every time. It's part of life, might as well work it.

Uppercut playing a fantasy card game with dragons and nymphs is weird, you will never have friends, hell you would make more friends by running through city hall yelling "down with *insert your country name here*" than playing a online fantasy card game. "It's like your from another planet."
Don't worry, I am holding back from trolling right now, but it would be soooooo easy. I need a cookie. Also now I am going to get an anime avatar as weird as I can when I get home from work today.

This... is another way to look at it, its obviously true as well. Its called first impression.
Yet doesn't it amazes you of how that judgement sometimes change once you get to know the said person better?

Ehh, how do you know I'm a "micro" abomination from Mars?

LOL :)). I just want to add the fact that playing with nymphs will not get you a real human female.

plus this idea is a really bad idea, because as long as the avatar in not obscene, people are just exercising their freedom of speech.
