8 man PvP tournament STARTING KIT

I thought it would be a good idea to have some kind of fast and simple way of doing a PvP tournament, and here is what I came up with.

STEP 1. Start a new "8 man PvP tournament" thread
One player (you) has to be the host for this tournament. The host will start a thread and edit the information as the tournament goes along. You as a host can also participate in the tournament.

Thread title could look something like this: "8 Man PvP Tournament - Thursday, September 17, at 7pm GMT".

Tip: convert starting time of the tournament to GMT by using this http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc (http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc)

STEP 2. Build tournament brackets

Copy-paste this code and add it to your thread:

Code: [Select]
ROUND 1

----------------|
Contestant 1
----------------|

----------------|
Contestant 2
----------------|

                      >>>

----------------|
Contestant 3
----------------|

----------------|
Contestant 4
----------------|

----------------|
Contestant 5
----------------|

----------------|
Contestant 6
----------------|

                      >>>

----------------|
Contestant 7
----------------|

----------------|
Contestant 8
----------------|

ROUND 2[br][br][br][br][br]

----------------|
*****
----------------|

----------------|
*****
----------------|

[br][br][br][br]
                    >>>
[br][br][br][br]

----------------|
*****
----------------|

----------------|
*****
----------------|
ROUND 3[br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br]

----------------|
*****
----------------|
                      >>>
----------------|
*****
----------------|
WINNER[br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br][br]
----------------|
*****
----------------|

It should look something like this:

ROUND 1

----------------|
Contestant 1
----------------|

----------------|
Contestant 2
----------------|

                      >>>

----------------|
Contestant 3
----------------|

----------------|
Contestant 4
----------------|

----------------|
Contestant 5
----------------|

----------------|
Contestant 6
----------------|

                      >>>

----------------|
Contestant 7
----------------|

----------------|
Contestant 8
----------------|

ROUND 2

----------------|
*****
----------------|

----------------|
*****
----------------|

                    >>>

----------------|
*****
----------------|

----------------|
*****
----------------|
ROUND 3

----------------|
*****
----------------|
                      >>>
----------------|
*****
----------------|
WINNER

----------------|
*****
----------------|

STEP 3. Go to chat and ask players to sign up for your tournament

STEP 4. Fill in tournament brackets
When you have 8 players signed up, go to Randomizer http://www.random.org/lists/ , type in all 8 names, and click "Randomize". Web site will now arrange those 8 names in random order. Fill round 1 tournament brackets in this same order.

STEP 5. Start the tournament

Ideas for rules:
- "best of three". First player to win 2 matches goes to next round.
- players are allowed to change decks between matches

STEP 6. Edit brackets as winning players move to next round
continue to do this until you have a winner.

Congratulations, you just successfully hosted an 8 Man PvP Tournament!

Any ideas, suggestions?

Yes, I do certainly realize that there are some users on this forum that do not possess a google account,
Google has accounts now? o-o I thought it was just a search engine...lol. >.<

When you start to type something into the google search it will suggest words or phrases you may be looking for.  Unless.. you search for certain things that google doesn't want laymen stumbling on.  Try bilderberg.  It's not an anomaly.  Slowly type

"robust mixture modeling using multivariate skew t distributions"

And see all the possible suggestions.. Bilderberg has far far far more results than that does. It's intentional.

Google is on it's way to controlling you.  Not intentionally but they own the #1 search engine, they own youtube and a host of other popular networking sites like facebook.  If there's something they don't want you to see they do have the power to hide it rather well.  There's already been cases of this.

I don't get it. What is your point?

Of course one word "bilderberg" will have much more results than a weird sentence "robust mixture modeling using multivariate skew t distributions".

You think your discussions are better than Warr flood, but you are unable to continue them in PM when it is really necessary. Just like now.
This is my second post, but i'm reading this forum for long now. And i'm amazed how you people just like problems. Maybe not on purpose, but you really do.
So please, if you want this discussion to be public, create a topic for that (no, there's no problem in that; Warr did it many times, and topics are still here). Otherwise, go PM.

Topic : "8 man PvP tournament STARTING KIT" and reactions to that.

Any idea when Zanzarino will come back? There was a little maintenance the other time, so, he's still around, right?

Not only was what I said clear, you haven't tried to understand it one bit.  If winning the argument is reason enough for you to be dishonest I'll not pretend to have an honest discussion.
Ok, listen buddy.. I have read your post many times and what you said makes no sense to me. That example you gave made no sense, and when I asked for clarification, all you did was highlight something that made no sense the first time!

How dare you call me dishonest just because I don't understand what you are saying?

I know how Google works but I still don't get what you are saying.

The more words you write in the search field, the less choices Google will give you. Not because Google doesn't want you to know something, but because more words means less chance of doing a popular search.
Not only was what I said clear, you haven't tried to understand it one bit.  If winning the argument is reason enough for you to be dishonest I'll not pretend to have an honest discussion.
