As far as stating team preference, am I allowed to being on the same team as a player that is not the boss? 
Could a boss save points and put together a team of less than 7 people and dividing up the unfilled tasks?

That said, 1) I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. When naming team preferences you will chose the name of a team. You are, naturally, going to beon the team with more players than just the boss. Sorry if this doesn't answer your question but I can't understand it very well. 2)No, bosses must purchase an entire team. If they refuse to bid on enough players, the leftover players will be given to them at a cost of one point per player.

Woops, saw the comments or concerns about rules, but didn't see the next sentence.  I was basically asking if I could (for example) say I wanted to be on a team with OldTrees even if OldTrees isn't a boss.  I'm guessing the answer is no, but thought it couldn't hurt to ask.

Yeah, it's a no. It would be too messy now that the preferences have some influence in which players the bosses pick. If you know a boss WANTS a player you want to be with, ask him -a lot- to be in his team and put him in your preferences so he gets at least an extra advantage for bidding on you.

Inverted bidding. I like to call this idea, "friendly fire." Instead of -in the event of a tie, players will choose the team they want to be on- players will always choose a team they want to be on. This way, brawl bosses have to seem friendly towards the brawl members. Our brawl bosses should naturally be friendly towards the community members, but without forcing them to be friendly towards everyone, because there's always this one person you hate, you'd only have to be absolutely friendly to the ones your going to bid on. This is close to electing a president, except inverted really. Which is what I think would make the brawl bidding a lot more interesting. If a preferred team bids one, and another team bids at least 2 or more then the preferred team that's winning, then, and only then, will gain that player. This way the teams can't be stacked uber easily. With this bidding style though, the players will be more likely to get on there preferred teams, which should leave the brawl members happier overall. So super friendly bosses and overall happier brawl members is the benefit you'd get from this voting style, vs more easily, but still rather difficult to completely stack a brawl team. The tasks are secret from round to round anyway, so stacking shouldn't be too much of a worry, and that's why I wanted to state this suggestion. In my eyes it's a win-win situation.

I did not understand this. I got that you were talking about the auction process but beyond that was murky.

In my opinion the possibility for brawlers to vote is nonsense. Therefore, I will not vote anymore for anyone in this brawl.

Reason 1: It's a simple logic. I feel bad when I help other teams and not my own team. I'm afraid most of votes come from brawlers, if you don't take your chance to vote on your team, I think the vote is lost. I know this event is for fun, but it's still a game and, maybe it's just me, but the ultimate purpose of a game, where we have winners and losers, is to win. I take part in this event in order to have fun, but also to win, as a boss I'm double responsible for the team, and my task is to help my team to win. Voting for others, I don't help my team. Team members who don't vote on their team do not help their team. It's simple as that.

But voting on yourselves is kind of lame and what if I find works from other teams better than stuff from my team? We go to:

Reason 2: I don't want to choose between someone from my team and other teams. Even if I think, for example, other teams did better that someone from my team, I don't want to state it out loud, in front of his face, especially knowing he did his best. Yes, of course there is diffrent situation if someone is just idling a lot, but generally I would rather not vote at all anyway.

Maybe I have a strong feeling of unity and I was always taught that "a bird doesn't poo into his nest", and in English it is: It's an ill bird that fouls its own nest.

I know that rules can't be changed in this Brawl, I will cope with that, but as a sign I don't approve of it I will not vote. Maybe I will state my opinion on certain works, but I will not vote.

Thats why there is double voting krzy, vote for your team and then what you liked best. But think of one thing. We barely managed to start brawl, think, if brawlers cant vote, then who would? But maybe a ruling saying you cant vote for your own team wouldnt be that bad.

I actually made a suggestion last brawl for every brawler to vote only on its task without being allowed to vote for itself and the vote being sent together with the task for the following round (would need something different for the last round, but it is a way to make voting obligatory).

Unfortunately the amount of votes so far is very small (even though it's hard to compare to past brawls because brawler votes were mixed together).

Force them at least one vote and it can not be for your team. Ensures votes and promotes fairness.
