If apps dont accelerate, how would people react to me stepping down but making an app? Simialr time realated reason as not genning war

Suggestion.
Make only 1 team. We send 2 submissions for each task. Members of the team side with one of the two submissions and rack up points individually, and at the end we have 1 winner rather than one winning team. Not ideal but can help with extremely low amounts of applicants
