I think that when Top500 gets in place, there will be less farms. Or, maybe even more ::)

All I can say about farms is that they give new players a leg up so they don't have to spend literally months grinding AIs to get a decent deck together. When t500 gets implemented if I don't have the cards I need I'll probably quit playing.

Reviving a fairly old topic, but just throwing this out - People won't stop making farms, they'll make biting farms eventually, so you'll get the rares. It'll just require much more RNG help then it does now.

I think rares should be won by all skill opposed to all luck. Currently, rare farming is almost all luck. Finding a farm on T50 and spinning a rare is pure luck, and winning a rare from the AI3 is mostly luck because almost anyone can beat AI3 most of the time (the new AI was an improvement, however). I think that T500 will do a good job at distributing rares. If you win a few matches in a row you have a chance to win a card, hopefully that will be a rare (more information about T500 is needed though).

Until now, I think that the T50 should either not have a farm at all or have a biting farm. I don't mean 18 life pillars, 6 jade staffs, and 6 miracles. No, the ideal biting farm should often beat a player with a poor deck and cause rare distribution to be based off of skill.

Lastly, the main reason people need farms is because of farms! When people make farms, they allow many people to have access to rares. And what happens to the people that miss out on the farms? They do not have those rares, and they are overly thankful when they see a farm themselves. Thus, in the future, they either convince people to make farms or make a farm themselves if they are in the T50. It's really a downward spiral.
Somehow still around, somewhat

I think making farms are not bad, but it will be less challenging for those who can beat t50 easily. At least they who was still noob can get more rares, but still with luck and quanta-wasting, plus just for fun for the 'PRO', it was what the 'farm'-maker think, i think.
Well, just wait for T500 and let's see what happen.

Hmm well I am thankful if I encounter the odd farm in the top 50, even though I wouldn't mind some of the weapons rather than the shards and relics, but I'll take what I can get.

As for farming though, some of the guesswork can be taken out of the picture by avoiding anyone running a deck who either explicitly states they don't run one (obvious), or anyone with the  :time or  :entropy mark (these are generally upgraded rainbows, or so I've found).  :aether is probably one to avoid as well, unless you have an anti aether build maybe? (Never bothered to play someone's T50 if they have an aether mark, phase shields really annoy me)

But I've probably just stated the obvious, my thoughts are that if you play AI4 and you find a farm without too much search, it's your lucky day.

i find farms incredibly useful for the odd boost. when i get rares from farms if they are of no use to me i sell them. this gets me extra money for upgrades which are very important. they also boost your score.

With the number of bit farms in top 50 at the moment, upgraded fire/life rush decks, rainbow decks, and now entrophy decks it makes it literally very hard to "farm" top 50 for rares, especially newbies with unupgraded decks.

Am running a almost fully upgraded nymph deck, and find it harder on T50 than FGs, coz FGs are more predictable with fixed 24 possible decks, whereas T50s have unfixed any decks.

Thats the point. You're fighting the top 50 players in elements, shouldn't it be hard? Why should the t50 be predictable? Why should new players be able to get rare cards? They're supposed to be RARE cards, everybody has just gotten so used to them not being rare because of farms.

Oh, thank you lukce. Lucky for you I haven't had time to build any good T50 Harms on past couple of weeks, so I've kept my newest FG grinder online instead. Hope you like that as well.
