Ban on farms? (READ FIRST POST BEFORE VOTE)

Perhaps not my place, but...

There was a 'STOP farms' thread, so I figured a vote was in order - personally, I'm pro-farm.

Think about it. Newbs who just joined - they can't get into FG farming without a rare weapon. Of course, there IS  a way - it's a hellova tough way, though. It's rare to get a FG deck without a weapon - even then, most decks require thousands of electrum for upgrades.

I've never been an avid FG farmer, even though I've achieved 19000 score status before I accidently reset my account, due to the fact I haven't gotten the weapons. Sure, I had 20000 electrum at my disposal, but it wasn't enough.

Getting rares are hard enough as it is. Don't screw a newbie's chance because you think it's unfair.

Let's vote.

Yeah I think putting up a farm is completely a T50 player's choice.
You shouldn't ban something like that just because their trying to be helpful to the newer players.

I'm a newbie and i'm still having problems getting all the weapons, even with farms.
That's because farms are 10 over 50 (more or less), so it's very likely you'll meet a real (and upgraded) opponent, which is difficult to defeat.

I think farms are fair and balanced with the current proportion. But i must admit that if T50 were completely made of farms, the game would get kind of lame.

Doesn't really relate for much longer. T50 will be changed soon enough to literally be competitive or you're out.

T500 will eliminate Farms, Harms or whatever you want to call them for good. And this will be good.

Rare means rare.

I know the T50 will be changed in T500.
I don't care, i mean if it's hard for everyone, then it's ok.
I also understand that old players maybe played a different game, maybe a simpler game (old AI was dumber than now, and more exploitable) and gained rares easier than now, but i also know that it wasn't their fault, so i'm ok with this.

I also read Zanzarino's words about T500 and i must admit it's more fun for newbies, as well for veterans that must obey Oracle rules but can gain money.

Simply banning them wouldn't be a good solution anyway.  Where exactly would you draw the line between what's a farm and what's a viable deck that happens to have some rares in it?  In many cases it's obvious but in some, it's not so clear.  In any case, as things are now, players should be free to post whatever deck they want for t50.  Something like what has been proposed for the t500 sounds like a much better way of handling it since people can still submit whatever deck they want but only the best ones will remain in there for long and also there is some incentive to the player to make one that is good enough to survive a while.  Also the new AI3 and 5 decks seem to be a partial solution as well since they offer more chances to win rares from them as well which reduces some of the need for t50 farms.

Personally if any significant changes were made to the difficulty of getting rares I would want all rares reset its not like I'm trying to be spiteful but it's hard to tell if it is actually to hard to get rares if half of the people saying stuff have almost all the rares. That being said I know that's not going to happen.

Maybe I'm being dyslexic over here. Are you asking to remove farms, or put up more farms? Somehow the title and the content doesn't seem to match at all.

i'ts easy to say remouve farm wen we have take all the rare fom T50 with farmdeck but for newbie will have hard life witout farmdeck for tournament or for FG
y hope T50 still T50 this was good for us for take the rare that we need and newbie have to have the same chance
and in the game they are rare als nimph and mark is that not enougt?

If I put rares in T50, it'll take a small feat to beat the deck they are in.  I won my rares the old fashioned way...no farms from me.

people in T50 put what they want to out in, it's their choice. i don't think there can be such a thing as a code that can recognise farm deck. i don't think kael hate would make such thing (don't kill me kael!)
