Cool card it would be interesting with fractal.  I think a better name (for the upped version) would be Dust Monster and make it look closer to a golem (I know it sounds stupid but I think it looks better that way)
LOL, Fractal misses it 50% of the time.

To be honest, I do not like this concept at all. That 50% makes this card very luck-based.
Many cards in this game are based upon "luck". To name a few:

pandemonium, chaos seed, dusk shield, fog shield, ice shield

Chance is part of Elements.
The difference is that with cards like Permafrost Shield, the average number of creatures frozen averages out in the long run, under the assumption that your opponent has more than a couple creatures. This card has less of a chance for the outcomes to average out to 50% live Dust and 50% dead Dust.

Here's some new art for you Schattenfresser, as promised. (Note: you might need to resize the image before it can be used in the card) ^^;;

If there needs to be changes to my art submission, feel free to correct them as necessary. I know that Bloodshadow, Fotosynthesis, vrt, and Zanz can make much better art that I can, but it was worth a shot! XD
Thanks, that's a really nice picture. The only thing that you could add would be a background.   :D
Thanks again and +Karma.^^

I think the cost/damage ratio isn't good and the damage too small to make a Fractal stall. And as Kael said: Fractal can miss, too.
About the name change: I like Dust Entity more.  ;)

Yes and No. Yes, it would be less targeted by spells. No, because creatures with abilities and weapons like EE can target the Dust, too. So I can have 23 creatures + Weapon that target the Dust with their ability and that have to attack through a Dusk Mantle.

plate armor isn't so good, it misses half the time

Question: does it roll per card or per attack?
what i mean is that if the opponent has 13 fire quantum and casts fire bolt, the fire bolt would hit a normal creature 2 times for 3x2=6 damage. So would each individual bolt roll for the miss, or would the whole card?
Each bolt: 50% chance of dealing 3 damage, 25% chance of dealing 6 damage. Total: 75% chance of killing dust, average 3 damage
Each card: 50% chance of dealing 6 damage, Total: 50% chance of killing dust. still average 3 damage
I assume per bolt, and you can reuse the miss animation too.
